using amazon's customer reviews

I was just looking through amazon's participation requirements and noticed a clause regarding the use of its customers' reviews:

28. You will not display or otherwise use any of our customer reviews or star ratings, in part or in whole, on your site unless you have obtained a link to that customer review or star rating through the Product Advertising API and you comply with the requirements set forth in the License Agreement.
Does this mean I can only use a customer review only if I generate it from a plugin that uses the API?

Thanks.

    What about paraphrasing and saying things like, "customers have said...."

    There's no suggestion the comments come from Amazon and its paraphrased, does that fly?

      That's a good point, Dave. I've seen a lot of PLR reviews that do this.

    Thanks, Wolf.

    So something Associate Goliath posts would be in line with this requirement?

    BTW, got your long tail guide a while back. Just getting around to trying it out. Some autoblog, some not-so-autoblog. Excited to test some ideas..

    amazon customer reviews are very helpful if you are an affiliate
    and want to promote physical products,
    they have the product and know what they are talking about
    choose popular products with 4 or 5 stars
    but do not just copy and paste or say 'here is what the customers are saying'
    google does not like that and they will bump you down
    it is duplicate content
    spin the content, make it original
