What's Your Favorite Way to Learn IM?

Video is my favorite medium for learning any skills. I've been picking up design on the side from Lynda.com and the vid tutorials there are amazing.

Have you guys had good experiences with video too, or do you prefer to read at your own pace or listen?

    I prefer to read. I have a slow mind and just want to get to the meat of it all instead of waiting 5 minutes for a video to show me the "secrets".

    I prefer reading...I hate courses that contain 10+ videos...Most of the time I dont want to sit up at my computer to watch them. I prefer pdf's because I can lay down or whatever and relax while I read...taking notes is easier as well imo.

    Videos do come in handy sometimes though, depending on what it is your learning.
