Don't Use Photos of Clickbank Cheques As "Proof" Of Anything...

...because, apart from the fact that more and more people simply assume they are fake anyway, Clickbank has now specifically prohibited the practice in it's new 'Client Contract'.

From section 6.a at www.clickbank.com/terms.html

"... Promotional use of images or reproductions of Payment checks issued by ClickBank without the express, written consent of ClickBank is prohibited."

If you continue to do business with CB, you're automatically agreeing to that contract.

Tommy.

    it's here in 6a

i noticed on someone's sales page the other day that their paypal earnings "proof" had dates out of order. if you're going to lie, at least do it well.

Phew - I've been getting tired of those.

On a side note, I recently saw a promo video by Chris Rempel and he actually logged into his bank account (I saw the bank name at the top too) and showed his earnings, which needless to say were impressive. Far more effective that an easily faked clickbank screenshot, or even a CB cheque.

Unfortunately, that's easy to fake too. I am NOT saying that his is fake, though. I'm just saying that it is not a difficult thing to do. A little more effort than manipulating a screenshot or check with Photoshop, but not hard at all.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

I just watched a video where Ross Goldberg showed a guy's "proof" from Clickbank. The first number had no comma but all the rest did. You'd think someone who was trying to fool people would at least get it right!

I see so many people doing that on their sales pages. I've always assumed them to be fake. I'm not ever going to do it on my page but it kind of pisses me off that so many are doing it and tricking people into buying their product that way.

I never realised they could be faked until i saw a post of it on here a month or so ago and its put me off now whenever i say proof of earnings on salespages.

But since then ive been amazed by how many have faked it badly

Thanks for the info, Thomas. I don't use clickbank check images in any of my sales material, but I think some of the "how to" products I've used teach that it's something you should do. This is definitely something I need to make sure my subscribers are aware of! Thanks again.
