How Do You Make Your Site Sticky ... Ninja Tricks Please?

I am helping someone sort out their terrible bounce rate (over 60% ... truly horrible) by doing all the usual techniques of sorting out content, pictures and videos.

Whilst I am doing this I thought it a good idea to ask my fellow warriors for their top 'sticky' tips ... even little subtle things you might do that keep people on your site engaged for longer.

Thanks in advance

BERNARD

P.S. I saw a stat the other day that over 70% of people who participated in a recent survey admitted to making all sorts of value decisions about an individual or a business just on the basis of viewing their web site.

Doesn't it depend a lot what type of website you have? For my amazon review sites i pretty much always have greater than 75% bounce rates, but thats fine because people are bouncing off to the affiliate website which is fine.

Have a genuinely interesting website that keeps the visitor wanting more?

Yeah I don't think a sticky site is as profitable. I used to have a sticky site and now I love my new high bounce rate.
