I like doing Tech Stuff more than Writing; What is the Best Technical Skill to Learn?

Hi,

People are often saying "you need to find your skill first".

I'm not so good at writing, nor speaking (specially I suck at speaking English).

I'm not a programmer or engineer. And I haven't any high education.

My core skill is "math". And I feel I can learn and do technical tasks fast.

But "technical" is too broad,
and I wonder, what is the best in demand technical skill to learn?

Android apps? Java? Php? Wordpress design? Graphics? Video design? or what?

And how is the best way to use "math" skill to make money online?

The best advice I ever got was to "learn how to learn" if you master that skill the rest will be easy.

    Hi

Your question is pretty broad so to get started, I would suggest video design. Unless you really like programming and want to learn.

I think video design would have a shorter learning curve before you have enough skill to market yourself.

You can start out with simple marketing videos and grow your services as you learn.

To start with, you can work with free tools that are included with Windows or can be found online.

There are also online video makers, some free some paid, that you can use to make something to start with, edit or use as inspiration.

Once you have the skills and can make videos simply and quickly, you can use that skill yourself to promote your sites and businesses.

Screen Capture videos are great for marketing and teaching.

If you really get into it, you can make big money learning professional editing software and video production.

The key is, if you plan on building a set of skills and offering services, make sure it is what you really want to do.

Most "technical skills" that you mention can be easily outsourced (what your customers are doing when they hire you) so if you would rather be managing a business than selling your services, it isn't technical skills you should be learning.

So what skill should I then learn?

Your writing isn't too bad. I see know reason why you couldn't work on one article per week.

If I was you I'd decide on something you wanted to sell. Whether that was apps or 'how to' videos etc.

Then I'd build a website for them and write one article per week for a blog. Once that's done I'd promote it like hell.

Of course if you want to go down the freelancing route instead of making a product, you would just have to do some research into what's popular.

But well done for actually wanting to learn a skill, rather than strike it rich overnight.

Want to make money from math?

Find one of those math websites where they pay you $1 million dollars for solving some of the toughest mathematical problems known to man.

The last dude who solved one of these math problems DECLINED the $1 million dollars. Guess this guy loves working lol...

Why does it have to be Technical?

Focus on the things you like. It can be a hobby, sport, whatever. Let the techs handle the tech stuff. There are vast avenues in IM to make money.

there isnt really 1 particular technical skill which you need because there are a lot of technical things which you need to learn

if i had to say 1 thing to learn though i would say, to learn how to create oto pages, sales page, launch pages and know how to set the funnels up within those pages

knowing this will save you a lot of time, and this aspect of your business is also the most important one

i am not a technical person by a long shot so thats why i use optimize press for all of my pages, its so easy to create cool pages and really fast too

If you can learn to become a master with video, I think you will have more than enough ways to make money now and in the future.

I'm talking about high-end video, like learning how to use software like Adobe After Effects...

These skills are in high demand and pay well...

More and more small businesses and individual entrepreneurs are looking for this service because they want...check that....NEED high quality video.

Some people even make good money just learning the basics of After Effects and then using templates they buy online at places like VideoHive to create videos for clients.

This is a great way to start, because you can learn how to use the software as you go...

I know the Adobe software is expensive, but you can get it now on subscription....$50 a month with a 1-year contract or $75 a month with no contract. And that's the full package which includes Photoshop, AE, Premiere, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, etc, etc.

I would pick either Java or Python with Django. I've started with Java and it was great but if you want power from the start and want to learn a programming language that abstract all the nitty greedy then most def go with python
