Only Earning On Adsense When using Adwords?

A while back I started an Adwords campaign to try to boost my site views etc. I noticed that my adsense went up (only to £1.23, but it's a start) then when my free credit ran out, my Adsense earning just stopped, now I only get £0.01 every couple of days.. I started another Adwords campaign yesterday and noticed that my Adsense ads were starting to earn again! Why? I'm spending more on Adwords than i'm making in Adsense so could somebody let me now how to cut out the Adwords part and still earn?

Regards

I was wondering the same thing. Not that my adsense earnings started and stopped but rather the traffic. And I don't mean paid clicks as contributing to the higher traffic either. I had been stuck at very low traffic numbers, like Lindsay Lohan low. My adwords campaigns weren't bringing me traffic via clicks but I noticed as soon as I started my first campaigns, my traffic jumped.

It was almost like Google was saying "okay, now you're ready to give us a little? We can send you a little."

But I also realized that this whole Google Adwords and Panda/Penguin slaps are all hypocritical bs.

I'll admit it, I used blog networks. I am kind of new to all of this and only have 5 sites, one of which produces barely anything. I've been doing IM now for not quite a year. My first site was seeing no traffic and I joined a blog network where you could buy blogroll links, or homepage links by using credits.

My traffic for that site was going up and up, and then May 24th or whatever. The traffic was worse than before (even though it's a real, legit site.) So I cancelled that membership.

And now recently, like June, I started with adwords. Isn't Google and Adwords just one big effing blog network? I guess it's okay with buying backlinks if you buy them from Google. What a racket. Basically it's all anyone is doing when they use Adwords or whatever. You are paying to have your link in front of people.

But I guess you have to play the game right?
