There are many sites where you can submit software. I havw tried to provide you with links to the page where he would actually upload his software from, or register to do it.

Download.com claims it is the largest distribution network in the world. Use this page to submit software

Tucows has been established for the best part of two decades so are popular for people to go to. This is where he'd go to submit software.

Soft 32 has downloads for Windows, Mac and Mobile. To register to upload he'd need to go to the Account sign-up page

Softpedia claims it is the encyclopedia of free software downloads. Go here to submit software

Gear Download site is another where he can submit software

Freeware Files and again here is the link for submitting software

Filecluster and again the link to submit his software

Some sites do not allow you to submit software as such in order to keep quality high, and keep viruses out. Their site reviewers will search for products and list them if they think they are good.

ZDnet is also part of the CNET empire (same as downloads.com) it is has the Web's largest library of software downloads. In order to submit a product for review then you need to send it to one of the review editors. See process for submitting products.

File Hippo is a fairly popular site - but you would have to find a way of contacting them - such as using their contact form

Another alternative if he's looking to monetise things, and wants to get his software to as many sites as possible, is to submit his programs using a software submission service such as software submit The list on this page also gives even more choices than what I've already listed - but the ones above tend to be the most well known. This service costs a one-off fee of $189 but it's possible you could find someone to do this for you on Fiverr

Couple of thoughts:

1. If this is software your nephew has used and he wants to share tips and tricks, check for forums in which to participate.

2. If this is software your nephew has developed and he wants to make it freely available, again check for forums and groups interested in accounting on networks like LinkedIn.

3. Either way, establish a personal blog or website dedicated to the subject and organize as logical. Am sure the subject will never be complete and your nephew will continue to expand his
knowledge base which is reason to continue to share. To develop traffic, continue with #1 & #2. The world is knowledge thirsty. He may be surprised how much interest there is in the subject subject even without any type of Google ranking.

4. Create an eBook on the subject. The book may be marketed (or given away) via his website or through major retailers either directly or via free distributors (check Smashwords).

5. If appropriate and income is his goal, monetize the site with AdSense related to the accounting profession.

Why don't you try a software submission tool? I offen use the submission tool which is easy to operat and can submit software to tons of different websits. Save your time!

Tons of sites out there. You could also try the PAD standard website which has a tool and submission list. Also search for shareware sites.

Hi Adie,

Another approach is to partner with another software vendor to cross promote the application. Much like you get offered a Google toolbar when you download Adobe Flash. There are lots of companies out there that can help you find partners.

There are some of the sites and free spaces in the search engines such as go-ogle and many others for best serving the purpose to submit our task or any operation designed by the member. I thought that that was the best place for submitting your software so that more people may get aware of that and the requirement of yours will be fulfilled.
