need to find a program for creating a flash video...

Hi Warriors...

I'm building a website and need to figure out how to incorporate something like this (but different words, of course):

into my website.

I've figured out that an swf file is a flash movie (correct me if I'm wrong)... so I'm wondering if there's a free program out there that'll help me create my own swf file I can embed in my site.

Any guidance on this is much appreciated!

    Hi Rebecca,

    Your sample is what I call a "Flash animation" instead of a Flash movie. The main program for creating the effect in your sample is of course Adobe Flash. There are a couple of competitors who have software that's supposed to make it easier for you to create Flash animations of this type. Try doing a Google search for "SWF creator."

    I've never run across any free software that will do this, but Adobe Flash offers a free 30 day trial. But it's so complicated that it might take more than 30 days to figure out how to do what you want!

    If you're intent on the DIY route rather than outsourcing it, then something like
    Swishmax Mini is worth looking at (swishzone.com) as its got presets for easily
    manipulating text like that (i think they still give a free trial too).
