Trouble finding a niche or product idea, and the motivation to do it.
I hate having a j.o.b.
So I'm back in the IM game after a four-year hiatus. A year ago I took a look at some opportunites and purchased Google Sniper 2.0, but never got past watching the video tutorials. Earlier this year I joined the All Solutions Network and some safelists to promote stuff; and joined Just Been Paid. But that's it, I just couldn't get motivated to dig into anything.
Yet I know that IM is what I ultimately want to do!
I know it can happen to me.
Past experience, however, still haunts me, and I need to figure out what will motivate me to do more than just kick tires. I want to feel that same excitement I felt in '99 when the potential of the Internet struck me. It was a whole new universe, and I instinctively knew that, it being a global medium, there was no way I could lose! Right? Well that's what I need to feel again.
Of course, that just can't happen because I have experienced the reality of IM; the work and focus that it requires.
A few weeks ago I stumbled across WF, registered and bookmarked it for later perusal. Then sort of forgot about it. Last week I got an email from George Brown, updating his subscribers with what he's been up to. A link in the email led me to a web page of free stuff he was offering. One of those free things contained a link to.... WF! But I had lost my original username/password from a couple weeks ago, so I re-registered under my real name. The fact that WF was put in front of me twice, via two completely different venues, convinced me that it may be time to try the IM game once more time. So, having said all that...
It seems that all the niche's and product ideas have been taken! And I have no idea where to begin as far as what to put out there that hasn't been put out there before. Not that there really is a brand new idea, but there is a ton of competition, and only so much room at the top. Although I'd settle for just under the top at this point.
And if that wasn't enough, I'm trying to do this with basically no money to invest. I'm a firm believer in spending money to make money, but when there is no money to spend, it changes things. Oh, I have some money, enough to purchase a product; but then nothing left for upsells or any other extras - or even another product.
So I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has an idea of where I can start? I've joined Fiverr, and already got a paying gig, so that's encouraging. I also purchased Tiffany's Easy Fiverr Frenzy today, but haven't received a download link yet, but when I do I will be scouring her product to see how to make Fiverr work in my favor.
Other than that, I've been reading the forums and trying to take in what's relevant to me - eat the meat, spit out the bones, as they say. But I'm open to any other suggestions as to how I can get something going in a timely fashion, on an almost non-existent budget (to start).
Thanks!
