Go to Twellow :: Twitter Search Directory, Twitter Search Engine, sign in using the enhanced feature, add yourself to 10 relevant categories according to your niche then go to those categories you added yourself to and quickly add all the active Twitterers and 50% or more should follow you back and you'll get a steady stream of followers. If you have multiple niches you can make multiple Twitter accounts and repeat the steps. Post a lot and use keywords so when people search for those words people can find you and add you. If anyone has other ideas please post them here. |

Call me crazy, but I don't have a Twitter account for BizBoost yet but I was concerned because I once read that if you follow too many people too quickly, you run the risk of having your account temporarily suspended. So, I went to Google and typed in, "How to Get Banned from Twitter" and, lo and behold, I found a short article that analyzed a larger article. They can be found here: How to Get Banned from Twitter @ chrisg.com and the article it comments on is in the first sentence. Pretty good and pretty funny... just be careful about following too many, too quickly and you should be fine! Eric |

Sure, that might get you a few thousand followers, but in my opinion followers are better gained a hundred at a time rather than a few thousand. If you get too many, you simply don't have time to build a relationship with them. I'd rather target followers via Twitter search or by following the followers of people I admire. Like the 2nd poster said, don't follow too many at once or you risk getting flagged. |

Well, you would have been flagged immediately, but I'm pretty sure it takes more than 1k a day to get flagged. How many followed you back out of that 2k? |

I agree with building followers more slowly. Hundreds at a time to build relationships and also look less spammy

This sounds interesting, I am definitely going to implement this. I can vouch for the twitter software hummingbird, but it has a high price tag attached to it.

But whatever you do, good luck. And forgive my bad attempt at sounding like a Native American medicine man. | |
