Emerging Business Models?

Hello,

I'm just getting started in the IM game, and looking for some business model suggestions from a few veterans.

I have about $3000 to spend, but need to be in the money within 3 months or less.

I hate technical stuff, but I can learn what I need to if absolutely necessary.

I can write content. I can do research. I can put the time in... 8 hours or more a day if necessary.

Strengths: Relentless. Bold. Risk taker. Rapid learner. Able to synthesis a large amount of info and see connections most miss.

Weaknesses: I don't get the whole social networking game on the net. I don't have the patience for SEO. I don't have attention to detail. My eye for graphics sucks. I don't want my face out there. I value my privacy. Making video content scares me, PDF reports would play more to my strengths. And to date, I have not had the best of luck managing outsourcers (I suck dealing with people).

I'm looking for a business model that is going to be sustaining. No flash in the pan stuff. That is on the front-end of a few solid trends. And hopefully build something that is sell-able later on.

With all that in mind, what business model would you suggest?

Thanks

First of all I would start working on overcoming your weaknesses. For a long time I didn't understand why a marketer, or anyone for that matter, would use Twitter. It just didn't click in my head. I wouldn't ever want to see the dollar figure on the amount of cash I missed out on because I refused to promote my sites on Twitter.

I also didn't have any patience for SEO, and then I finally buckled down and learned the ropes. Now that I know what to look for I generally outsource it.

It seems (much like myself when I started) that you are already hindering your own success by placing self-imposed roadblocks in front of yourself. You say that your bold, relentless and a rapid learner? Might as well use those strengths to overcome your weaknesses.

Since that is now out of the way...

You spoke about creating PDF products. Use your research skills to find a niche experiencing a problem, draft up a solution and then market said solution to your targeted audience.

Yes! It really is that simple. Don't make it more complicated than it really is. Do research on each step, get into a routine, and start building.

Finally. Get better at dealing with people. Few people can create a successful business without having some decent people and networking skills!

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I suggest search more threads here, pertaining to business model that will suit your needs. A good marketer, internet savvy and business person must really deal with people. Needless to say, overcome that weakness.

Not all emerging business models are the best choice to go with. Take one day deals for example. They were massive for a year or two, then seemingly bombed.

EDIT: But to name one, I'd have to say 3d gaming.

    Dear lightman,
Since you are a fast learner then I'd suggest getting into the war room to learn.

You'd have to learn the basics of internet marketing: Finding a niche, discovering their needs, doing research, packaging info, list building, copy writing, creating niche websites, article marketing and several other skills and tools.

Your learning speed should make the learning curve much shorter.

Your desire to make money will make learning less of a burden.

    Enjoy!
