How to lunch an ebook?

Hi all,

I bought a "product creation" WSO recently. I am not good at IM. I am trying to learn.

I followed the WSO step by step. And it seems that the WSO does not show how to market it. It only shows that if I opt in for the one-to-one coaching. And the seller does not respond to my emails too. So, yea, I thought I should browse through this forum first to find out what should I do.

So basically, I did outsource my ebook and it is not in IM niche. Currently waiting for it to be completed.

In the meantime, I was wondering how shall I market it once it has been completed?

1. Shall I create a website for it? Does the domain name has to be the exact name of the ebook?

2. I found a an exact match domain name (not the ebook name) with 200M searches per month. Is that considered good?

3. What kind of promotion after that do I need to do with minimal investment?

4. Is it better to sell it from my own website or through kindle?

Thank you in advance.

Perhaps a nice riverside cafe or a swanky restaurant?

Seriously though, I'm surprised you are waiting for an ebook to be completed (presumably paying someone) nd yet you have no marketing plan. How it will make money should have been worked out before any work is done on product creation.

You really need to do a site and rank it, plus marketing plus a WSO if it's relevant, plus hit an email list or ten - the whole shooting match.

    1. Give a short version of your report or EBook away as a FREE bounus

    2. Set up an Opt-In page and allow to people to download your FREE snippet of the report once they opt into your list

    3. If you're EBook is really useful and can help people go from point A-Z then you can up-sell them on the FULL REPORT or EBook further down your sales funnel.

    4. Set up a squeeze page, set up your auto-responder service, build up a relationship and then sell to your list the full exclusive report at the back end.

Hope this gives you some ideas and helps to broaden your imagination!!!

Good luck my firend and keep up the momentum!

An excellent question. Glad that you've bought an WSO product. There are a wide range of ways. You could try and sell it on clickbank or sell it on an ebook specialist site. Equally creating your own sales page would be a very effective way. My suggestion would be to sell one product and give away another along side it, as a buy one get one free offer, as these are often very enticing. If it helps I've written a free article on creating and marketing an e-book here;Make Money With An E-book

I really hope it works out for you and if not then don't be put off, just find another product and start again. Successful IM is about having lots of failures which you can learn from to develop your killer product!

You can publish on Kindle, but if you do I suggest that you use the Kindle Promotion. Its free I think and it lets your book get noticed.

    Visualxl,

I am new to the Warrior Forum however I have written and launched ebooks with what I believe has been good success. Here is how I would answer each of your questions:

    1. Shall I create a website for it? Does the domain name has to be the exact name of the ebook?
    - Yes, I believe you need to have a website so potential buyers can get more information about you, your book and you can let them know you are an IM who takes his product seriously. In other words, you are not here today, gone tomorrow. The domain does not have to be the exact match to the book name but, if that domain is available I would buy it right now before it is gone. Then if you use that domain great if not, you can have that domain point to your main domain when someone searches for it.

    2. I found a an exact match domain name (not the ebook name) with 200M searches per month. Is that considered good?
    - In my opinion, yes that is good. I would buy it right now so it isn't taken when you do want to buy it. Then as said above use that domain or use it to point to your main domain.

    3. What kind of promotion after that do I need to do with minimal investment?
    - There are many things you can do to promote your ebook. What you do is dependant on what format you are offering your book in. I suggest you offer it in different formats so you can reach more potential readers. Example: PDF, Kindle Book, Nook Book and even in print via CreateSpace or a POD website. Amazon alone has a ton of ways to promote and get your book marketing program going.

    4. Is it better to sell it from my own website or through kindle?
    - Both and I wouldn't stop there. Amazon does a lot of great marketing as far as search engines go and that alone will be a plus for your ebook. As stated above I would look into Barnes & Noble Nook, Smashwords, Google Books, CreateSpace etc.. and see what formats you think are fitting to your ebook. On your website you can offer all the formats you choose with links to the sales pages at the respected websites.

In my opinion, options of different formats is good for the buyer. If you stick with one format (Example: Kindle) and they are not familiar with that, they will pass and go on to find a different book in a format they prefer.

I hope this helps! Good Luck!

Hi Visual, I believe it is best to get a exact match domain for your product. If it's a unique name and that's what you want your product to be branded and remembered by then yes, go for the same domain name.

As for ranking, 200m seems like a load of competition don't you think? As for marketing, the more channels you can promote it through then the more successful it will be in the outcome. Try making a Facebook page for fans and community engagement, YouTube channel for videos, and promotion on various related forums (of course without spamming).

Anyone can have a successful product, it really just takes the right mindset, skills, and motivation to do the work and get it done. Don't give up!
