Over 80% CTR I Still Love EzineArticles & Don't Care What Anyone Says

Can I just encourage anyone looking for a good source of free traffic to still consider using Ezine Articles.

EZA IS NOT WHAT IT WAS ...

There is no doubt things have changed from the heady days of EZA Mania when everyone and his dog wrote a trillion articles to create back links and generate leads.

... BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I STILL GET STUNNING RESULTS

I just checked my stats and an article I wrote in 2009 has a consistent CTR of over 80% which translates into a generous helping of visitors to a little niche site I own.

THIS IS NOT A FLUKE
All my articles still do well for me and my CTR average is around 50% ish.

I think my success is due to the fact that I have never written for SEO but for clicks.

IS ANYONE ELSE STILL ENJOYING EZA?

    Yes, very much so.

But like all the article syndicators here, I'm using it for its intended purpose, not with a view to my potential customers reading my articles there.

I wouldn't be happy, doing what you're doing (and wasn't, when I did that), even with an 80% CTR, for two very compelling reasons ...

    (i) I'd still be losing 20% of that traffic unnecessarily, but much more importantly ...

(ii) Articles like that would be "written for clicks" (which is how I wrote when I started, in 2008) and nobody much would syndicate them at all (which they didn't, of course), so the proportion of people who ever read them would be only a tiny fraction of the already-targeted people who actually read my articles now, because they get re-published from EZA in much better and more useful places. I make far more money with a much smaller click-through rate than that. My income steadily grew as my CTR fell, once I started using Ezine Articles for its intended purpose.

But hey, I'm glad it's working for you, if that's how you want to try to use it. Absolutely no criticism intended at all, Bernard, but I just wish all my competitors did the same.

No, I've never written "for SEO", either.

I did start off writing "for clicks", and had the same sort of average CTR as you, but I grew out of that quite quickly, when I learned how article directories really work, and the floods of highly targeted traffic they can gradually produce for you if you write for syndication instead.

    Hey Alexa

Thank you for your response ... it is good to see someone else who is a fan anddprofiting from Eza

I will click through and read 'How do Article Directories work?' and will test your approach to see what happens.

I am not a wordsmith and do not really write much that sizzles ... which is probably how my approach developed. My articles do get published but maybe not to the extent yours do.

However I got to say with my own little formula worked out I get tons of targetted free traffic to a site that earns me money every single day automatically ... living the dream maybe LOOOL

I think the point is that Article Marketing is not dead it is just different and people can still get great results using this method.
