Solo Ads - Calling All Experts

Hi guys,

I bought a solo ad. Got 44 opt ins out of 116 clicks, 1 upfront sale and zero OTO sale.

My question:

(1) Should I change my product to something more towards the $50 - $100 price range? Or should I keep the first opt in redirect a $7-$47 price range?

(2) Should I go for buyer's solo ads which is 2.5 times more expensive, so that I can see which traffic(buyer's solo or the normal solo) has a higher opt in, CTR and conversion rate?

(3) Should I change my squeeze page and send more (non buyers) solo ad traffic to the same email sequence?

(4) Any ideas what is the best thing to do next?

Would really appreciate your input.

Many thanks.

firstly 44 opt ins out of 116 clicks is not too bad its certainly a half decent start

however, out of those 44 opt ins i would be expecting 3 - 5 OTO sales

your price of your OTO is very important though

from my testing $5 - $11 seems the best price for a OTO

i would strongly advise against using any OTO between $47 - $100 because your conversions will be dreadful unless you have a super powerful OTO page

your squeeze page is ok it`s just your OTO page and conversions which you have to focus on

if you want any more help on this topic i did a did a thread about it

      Hi Paul,

Thanks for the detailed explanation and link for the thread. I'll be working on my OTO and upsells.

Time to get to work and fine tune on things.

First of all a caveat. I'm not a solo ad expert. I agree with what Paul Nicholls says above 100% - Paul certainly knows a lot about solo ads and I've learned a lot from him and bought his products.

I would just like to add a couple of points.

116 clicks isn't an awaful lot of clicks to get an authorative return on investment, especially if your OTO is relatively expensive.

Maybe they wanted to buy, just not that product or at that price point. You could try surveying your subscribers, ask them what their biggest problems are in their niche, then provide a solution to that problem.

It might just be an issue of trust too. It might be that you will get a positive ROI from that solo, once they have gone through your back end sales process and you have built a relationship with them, provided them with great value and they trust you enough to spring for a product above the low-end price range.
