Need to Find Affiliates...How About a Press Release?

I have recently revamped my online tutoring website (I'm not quite finished yet). My site contains over 350 video lessons in math, reading, writing, etc...

I have posted my video lessons on Youtube, and of course, on my site as well.

Every video lesson contains a worksheet (that can be purchased in workbook format at Amazon). The worksheets are then taken up in the video lesson itself. I am making my money off the purchase of the workbooks (as well as the other books I have written via. my website).

I would like some suggestions as to how to 'inform' Amazon associate internet marketers that they too can embed my videos from Youtube and get commission by directing consumers to my workbooks.

Is a press release a good idea? Should I go to affiliate forums?

What methods do you suggest?

Thanks.

How about a JV offer in the Warrior forum. That section has done wonders for vendors and affiliates alike. I would suggest that as a place to start. There will be a bunch more names listed by others. For me that is a great place to start.

Thanks for the suggestion but I simply want to make amazon affiliates aware of my product. I'm not sure if the JV forum is the way to go.

Besides my idea about sending out a press release...what about a Youtube video? Or does anyone know of a popular website where amazon affiliates can be found?

I really like your tutoring website. You put a ton of work into it. Looks great. Lots of lessons. Easy to understand. Nice concept too, that the vids are free but books you buy. Nice.

Put the word out any way you can but understand that the affiliates you want and need are attracted to one thing: a hot selling product.

A hot selling product is usually high quality and written for a popular or evergreen market. Good luck.

A press release can either be a hit or miss. If you are tight on money I would recommend maybe getting a real cheap one through Fiverr.com but I"m not sure how effective that would be.

The problem with some of these "top" internet press release companies is that they simply spam your article across the internet and they charge and arm and a leg. I won't mention the name but this happened to me recently and the results where so poor that I had to fight to get my money back. Not because of poor performance but because of the way they worded what I was going to get - and it got to a point of being very misleading. At least Paypal agreed with me.

Anyways, steer away from spending too much money for bad services.

    Thanks Jeff!

Christain, I have used 1888 press release and 24/7 press release with much success. I am confident that a press release can do its job. I'm just not sure if a press release will be successful at attracting the attention of amazon associate marketers.

Personally I would identify your competitors biggest affiliates and approach them directly. Once you get a couple of the bigger affiliates on the board the rest will follow through in time.

Why not just approach them directly via their websites? It might take a while but the direct email approach might work better than just a press release.

    All the best.
