Finding the best article writers on the planet

Where can I find these mythical workers. The kind of person who writes intelligently and just seems to cruise through the process, respecting deadlines, producing work of a high caliber. Any recommendations of people or freelance sites that have exceeded your expectations?

    information maven,

Here's what I recommend you to do.

    1. Visit the 'Warriors For Hire.'
    2. Scroll all the way to the bottom.
    3. Find the 'Display Options' area.
    4. Sort the threads by selecting the prefix 'Content.'
    5. Hit the 'Show Threads' button.
    6. All threads that offer content writing services will appear.

You may want to touch-base with the providers themselves. I hope this helps.

The warriors for hire section has a lot of good writers. Read their recommendations and then place a small order with two or three writers. Don't shop only by price.

I've found some good writers through the Warriors For Hire section too. As someone else said, order small quantities to test them out first.

I agree There are a lot of good writers out there. I've found mine in OutsourceFactor and in oDesk. You'd be surprised with what some writers from the Philippines or from India have to offer, if you go through the right screening process.

        Hi,
I would be interested in finding out what screening process you engaged in -- or did you just ask for sample copies of their work or did you do a trial run of a couple of articles.

    Well.... there's always me lol.

Try Warrior For Hire, or try freelance sites and require previous works that the writer has done for previous clients. If they can provide you with case studies, and show the profitable results that they have achieved for others... this is even better.

You'll need to find experienced professionals who do writing on the side.

If you needed an article about Earth's atmosphere 2 million years ago, the ideal writer is a geobiologist that minored in journalism (or at least has very strong writing skills). It might seem like a tall order to find such a person, but it's really just a matter of surfing the major news sites and tracking down the writers. If they don't have an exclusive contract, they'll work with you.

You'll have to open your wallet though. That $100 20 article pack out of India won't buy even one article from a legit writer. I've shelled out over $300 for a single article many times. For instance, one was a famous (to a niche audience anyway) Hollywood stunt man and the article was how to break into that industry.

You don't find decent articles through Fiver, this forum or freelance sites because while the writers may have good technique, they possess little or no knowledge of the topics. So your sites just end up being well written BLAH. You'll need to reach out to qualified writers one by one and be willing to pay for it.

Yeah, it's a good thread but it isn't good when you respond to threads like these:

      1. i hope so!
      2. hope you get back up there soon!
      3. good thread
      4. interesting thread
      5. good stuff
      6. its all fun
      7. good thread

Read the rules so you'll stay a little longer here. Just a friendly-advice.

I'd recommend Internetmarketer1. He has a few posts here. Just search for him here on the thread. His writing is superb. I ordered a few articles for him that were for my first niche site, and he is quite good. His prices aren't that bad either!

One of the problems is that there are so many skilled writers on this forum. Picking the right one is difficult. While I can run a test of say four or five (2 articles each) and then gauge which is the best for me -- I might be leaving out some writers more appropriate to my niche -- which is change management written at an academic level. Under Warriors for Hire there are a number of invididuals with high post counts and so this seems a suitable avenue to go searching -- and offer the assignment to. Or do you feel a general ad would be the best option. The last thing I want to do is waste time (both mine and the warriors) and possibly money, searching the for most appropriatedly skilled individual. There must be a way around this process to narrow down article writers to ensure compatability with the niche I am in.
      Any additional thoughts .....

Read the process that I followed in the beginning of my search:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...ml#post6603974

If you consider writers on Fiverr, sort gigs by rating and look at the ones that are marked as "Top Rated" and go through the feedback on their gig page.

You can also give an order for premium writers on iWriter with the right to accept or reject an article. When you find one that is good you can give him/her repeat orders.

If you consider oDesk writers, you will find an option to invite writers who are rated the best. It pops up as soon as you publish an ad - you can also search for the top rated writers using criteria like their feedback scores, tests they have completed with a high score etc.

In any case you will need to test several writers over a period of time before you find that "mytical worker" :-).

Try IWriter.com and select only premium writers. The quality is very good and after you tried several writers you can request them individually to write more articles.

For me it is a very good and cheap source of articles and the platform is also driven by a fellow warrior.

    Regards,

    Rob

Writers are important, but i think editors are more important. A writer cant hold concentration if he has loads of job, unless you pay him a hefty much. So get a good editor, he will soften the rough edges and make your articles better.

Finding the best is highly subjective, the best for me may not be the best for you.. I suggest that you start interviews and a probation period for your prospects to help you find the best according to your preference.

Textbroker.com can be really good if you pay for the highest quality level. I would say 9 out of 10 articles I buy through there on the top quality level are usable "out of the box".

I completely agree with this. If you don't want to hire a full time writer then textbroker is a great choice. They have tons of excellent writers.

I recommend you place an ad on the Warriors for Hire section and be very specific about your niche, what qualifications you must have from applying writers (English only, research, background, etc.) and ask them to show you samples.

The more specific you are about what you as a client need and expect, the closer you'll get to your ideal writers. Order one sample article on your topic and you should find at least one or two who are top rate.

I think when most people find a gem of a writer, they are inclined not to share.

Finding a good, solid writer seems like an easy task, but there are usually three main issues that act as stumbling blocks: quality of work, reliability of delivering on time, and output capacity.

I just outsourced a writer and thought I'd found someone solid, but then he emailed me with an excuse as to why he couldn't do the job.

Seems like freelance writing is a lot like the IM field -- a lot of people WANT the money, but don't really want to muscle down and do the actual evil-four-letter-word "WORK" that it requires.

    Oh and as a tip...

When you get your articles back, right click on the files, select properties, summary, and view who the author is.

If its not from the person you hired, send it back.
