How Do You Keep Going? My Secret To Success...

Hey Guys,

Thought I would pop in and put my take on how to STAY successful.

This post is for the people that are full time IM but are constantly living in fear worrying about where the next paycheck is coming from.

Don't get me wrong I used to do this (and still do sometimes) however after 5+ years working online and getting to know that I have been through it all time and time again that really helps.

To know that you have dealt with hard time in the past and got through it makes you more confident of doing the same again and also makes you REALLY enjoy the good times.

I suppose what I am saying is this:

There is never a RIGHT time for anything - you HAVE to make it happen!

That goes for both your online business and life in general.

If you are struggling here is something that really helped me:

It is from Anthony Robbins and love him or hate him he knows what he is doing.

The story is about when he went car racing and they got to a part where he would need to control a skid.

So the instructor put the brakes on all 4 wheels so that the car would skid.

Robbins said he could feel the wall getting closer and closer and could not stop looking at it!

The instructor grabbed his head and made him look WHERE HE WANTED TO GO!

This is the KEY to controlling a skid - you need to turn your head where you want the car to go...

The same thing can be applied in your business - use your bad times to motivate you and remember "This too shall pass..."

To finish:

"Focus on where you want to go and not the wall!"

You CAN get there!

A little motivation for you:

This would NEVER have been possible unless I got into IM!

Never give up!

To Your Success,

Looking at the wall is like watching your failure unfold in slow motion. I have done this myself, and it is amazing how inevitable hitting the wall becomes when you focus on the wall.

Keeping your focus on your target is so very important! Great reminder.

I think this is a very good point as well.

It gets easier the more "success" you have because when you run into hard times you know you have already dealt with it in the past and come through the other side.

      Agreed - me too.

In fact the time it dawned on me was when me and the girlfriend went for a city break to Amsterdam once and all I was thinking about was "I hope my work is ok", "I have got x,y,z to do when i get back" - when I realized that I was on HOLIDAY!

Enjoy what you do, always move forward and if you HAVE to look at the wall knock it down!

LOL - yes but it is only overnight parking.

The picture wouldn't of looked so good with a big yellow parking ticket on the windscreen!

Law of attraction works wonders with success. Its a brake trough, once you start seen little success , the big one is really near , every opportunity will not always lead you to success, how ever every action you take from an opportunity, will lead you to closer or better success

Good post Chris. I have found nothing breeds success like a little success when you are having problems making money. Even making $1, $5, $10 etc can be very motivating. If you are having making money just make something and then take that success and build on it.

Great post right here. Find a method that works and makes you a little money and focus ALL of your efforts on scaling it up. Keep persisting and never give up. The only way to fail is to stop trying.

    Cool, Chris.

Every single day, I sit down for a half hour in silence and just contemplate where I want to go and how I intend to get there. I have a notepad in front of me and write down anything and everything that comes into my head. After a week or two of doing this every day, you will begin to have some real "aha" moments. It's like your mind is forced to come up with new ways of looking at your life/business. The clarity in thinking becomes clearer and clearer each time you do this exercise. I suppose you can call it "stilling the mind and getting out of your own way."

I LOVE this post....This should be printed and referred to over and over....

I follow a very similar process with meditation or walking in a secluded nature area....Anything to quiet the mind.

The solutions to any problem come from quiet contemplation...Without fail, if you can discipline yourself to listen to yourself...Solutions and great ideas will come to you.

It's funny but I always overhear people talk about the business book flavor of the month that did wonders for their bottom line. And yet ironically, my greatest breakthroughs have come from minimalist ideas from meditation and spiritual books...You can do significantly more with less but it takes self discipline to develop the habit of listening to your inner voice.

If they are constantly living in fear worrying about where their next paycheck is going to come from then they shouldn't be doing IM full time.

They should get a job so they know that their bases are covered, and work on their IM business at the same time.

Once they have learned how to make consistent money from IM then and only then should they consider quitting their job.

Even if it takes them 5 years to get to this point, because then they will have the skills in place that they need to have.
