    Hi friend!

I think my favorite ways to build my list is YouTube and SoloAds.
You just direct them to your squeeze page.

You can also put a opt-in form on the right hand side of your website for people to optin when they like your site and want some cool FREE gift from you

Thanks for your input Gina! It's my first site so I'm just getting my feet wet...the blogs actually about filmmaking and cameras. I hope to get some high conversions on new cameras in the market.

Also I would say film and movies is a big niche, maybe you're right it might not be all that profitable.

Best ways to build a list is Youtube, Adswaps and commenting on other peoples blogs that have ranked high in google, yahoo and bling. And offer a free gift on you website where visitors have to opt -in for it.

    I hope this helps

If you use Aweber they give you all sorts of different opt in forms to help build you list, pop overs etc

Best thing you can do is give away a gift relevant to your niche to encourage people to sign up

Seeing how its a movie blog - what about recording yourself interviewing the most famous director you know? You can use a service like Talk Shoe to record yourself to MP3 : TalkShoe voice talk shows and discussion groups - Talkcasts

      This is wrong, Fedor.

It's very wrong, in fact, and many Warriors have lost their lists at Mailchimp through believing it to be true.

If you do any affiliate marketing (or any of a large number of other disallowed activities) while you own a Mailchimp account, and they find out about it, you can lose your account whether you've been using Mailchimp to send affiliate links or not: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post3762385

There are tons of ways to build lists: Solo ads, banner marketing, ppc, ppv, video marketing, article marketing, press releases, classifieds, social media marketing, podcasts, postcards, voice broadcasting, etc.

The question is which ones are you going to focus on?

Does anyone know where to find targeted solo ads. I've done some research and it seems there are tons of IM solo ads but I cant find any from the weight loss niche. Any suggestions? Yes I've also tried contacting blogers and Google's top websites from this niche, but they barely respond and the rest of them even don't know what a "solo ad" is.

    Thanks ,

    Cheers

You can face book to build your list using a fan page with a video or an opt-in form.
It works very well if you are promoting your business.

You can also use you tube as a traffic source to build up your list.

    Good luck

    All the best.

Forums relevant to your list will be best.

Also have you set up some sort of squeeze page that will help capture your leads?

I assume you are using Aweber (Personally I think they are the best).

Try forums, and have a good looking squeeze page that is relevant to your niche, you can get that done cheap on Fivver.

I would suggest against focusing on solo ads and ad seals for you niche. Like others have said these methods work well with IM/make money niches.

The way I would suggest is to really focus on your niche. To do this find forums about filmmaking and cameras. Post on these forums a lot. Also create a YouTube channel, Facebook page, and Titter page all must specialize in your niche and preferable all with the same "brand".

This is probably the most important part, all post or videos you create you need to provide value and not be completely boring! If you follow this step others will begin sharing your content and they will bring others to you content and thus build your list and see you as an authority in your niche!

Once you have done that and have made some income, you should reinvest back into the business you are building. Or, if you are lazy, have some cash, and don't want to be see as an authority (don't really recommend this) you can start here. Find authority sites in the filmmaking or camera niche that already have ads on there site and contact them about advertising on there site. Also, if they have a newsletter or a place to subscribe to an email list, you can ask if you could purchase a solo ad for them to send out to there list (this would be the only way I would recommend you should use solo ads with your niche).

All of the above should have a link to your squeeze page where you offer something of value to your visitor for giving you there name and email. This free offer must be related to your niche and also be of high value.

Then continue to provide high value to you list of subscribers and occational promote products/methods all related to your niche.

If you follow these steps you will have a list of responsive subscribers that see you as an authority. They will also begin to know, like, and trust you from giving them so much great content. This is how many people are able to make money from list that would be considered tiny.

Also, I would go with Aweber or a second option option would be GetResponse. Don't use any others, I have have thousands of subscribers lost from using other autoresponders.

    Good list building your list!

I would nest a squeeze page at the top and center of your blog.

Instead of using a header graphic you can have an offer for your newsletter or offer a freebie there.

I have used solo ads to build my lists along with videos, articles, forums and my IM blog

if you are outside of the IM niche then just content list owner within your niche and ask to
buy a solo ad off of them, this still works great and is very under used

I would highly recommend giving a free gift to mailing list subscribers. Although some people say the effectiveness is less than it was, I just re-instated one on GeniusStartup.com a few days ago and subscriptions have skyrocketed.

Just make sure your gift is worthwhile and related to your niche. My current one is free videos from a usually paid-for WordPress course and a 7-day free trial of the whole course.

So far it's working really well - partly, I think, because it's different from the usual free e-book offer.

Running a solo ad is guaranteed subscribers if your squeeze page is good and the offer is pleasing

Taking into consideration the fact that you want to build a list in the movie niche, I don't think that running solo-ads will do you much good.

You need to put yourself in your visitors shoes, they're not actively looking to buy something so you need to entice them with something free. And what's better in your case than some free videos they could be watching directly on your blog?

For the list building section I think a good idea to test would be to have a list of sites from where they can get the latest info about their favorite actors for example. Thus you could ask for an email address and many people would gladly subscribe instead of having to do research on their own.

    Mike.

If you want a fast way to build your list, go for solo ads and banner ads. You can do this in 2 ways. Give away a free product to get opt-ins and later on promote paid products to convert your free subscribers to buyers.

Or, you can create a valuable product and sell it for a very low price ($7 or so) to get a direct buyers list. This method might get you lesser subscribers than the first method, but a buyers list is far more useful than a free list, as you're weeding out the freebie seekers beforehand.

Put some opt-in boxes on your blog, and create some sort of free gift baased around your movie niche. Focus on getting traffic to your blog by getting noticed in your niche and find the best paying offers to put in your marketing funnel.

The best thing about markets outside of IM is that it can be so easy to sell as people are buying something they're passionate about and aren't thinking about overhyped sales pitches for get rich quick.

Just the addition of this opt-in form and a plugin for amazon affiliate offers should be more than enough to monetize your blog.

Give something of value away! Lists can be awesome, but people are getting way to used to them. So make sure they get something of value and you should be golden. Also, from my tests, some markets just aren't worth building a list in.

I don't think it's a question of 'best ways' I think it's simply a question of what you do with a strategy and there are numerous. Key is to master one, and move on to the next one.

You should be prepared to learn more or if you got a good budget then solo ads are advisable, but you still need to know what you are doing.
