Success with Kindle Publishing-- Key Learning Points

I am in the process of writing my first ebook to be published on Kindle. It would be extremely helpful to understand the path you took -- what were the key issues you needed to manage, what were your learning points -- any and all tips/discussion would be greatly appreciated. Did you undertake any training, were you mentored, what background did you have and what decisions did you take which made your book successful. Can you also outline the pitfalls encountered and how you resolved ensuing problems.

The main things I have learned from publishing on Kindle or anywhere else is that you need to really study the market if you are writing to more people than just yourself. Often times we might think a market might be hot because of all the hype out there yet even the top books on that niche are not doing that great.

Another thing is not to rush and put out something that is barely readable. You can often see who is writing merely just to make a buck and who is truly wanting to share information with their audience.

Take your time crafting something you can be proud of because even if you only make a few sales, you'll have a book that you can share with family and friends down the road.

And the best advice I can give you is not to fall for all this hype on how you can make a killing with kindle. Yes it's possible but sometimes the hype out there can really blurry your vision and your writing.

    All the best.
