Lots of great tips in the article:

"You can pick a niche, you can get people to your site, but if you don't build a site that will drive clickthroughs and conversions it is all for nothing."

"Credibility and trust are EXTREMELY important. You need to present your site as an authority. You need to present your site as coming from someone knowledgeable. "

"Wording is everything. If you are trying to push a product on someone they will easily see that and you will lose trust. If you write sloppy with poor grammar you will lose credibility. When you lose these you lose clicks and you lose conversions."

Article doesn't help when Amazon bans your account for no reason... and keeps your money locked. Check out this great article on selling on Amazon:

Stay within TOS and that's not a problem.

Amazon won't ban you if you are doing 100% whitehat. Don't blank your referrers (because it is not against TOS and also looks suspicous), only put links on sites you own, and you should be good.

Thanks for the share. The best ways to achieve your goals with Amazon and any other affiliate program is through trial and error and finding a method that suits your style. I use Free Wordpress blogs and only promote technology products which are relatively new or have a low but positive feedback score (4/5 stars). I use the free Google keyword tool for research and only ever promote an item which has low competition or limited data. All my blog articles are 300+ words and I use the my affiliate link three times 2 x keywords phrase and once with the product picture. Once I publish the blog article I ping it and use a feed for faster indexing (within 72 hours). This method works a treat and I have several products on page one of Google and makes me between £300- £400 a month using free methods.

    Best of Luck
