Is it spam for a member to send you an email to their products?

Ok a guy who I kinda like had a thread I responded to, (I dunno a month or two ago(?).

He sent me a thanks here thanking me and then offered me some discount on his products:confused:

I don't want to report the guy because I kinda like his websites, and, theorems, but, on the other hand I don't like my intelligence insulted, so, I am appealing to you.

Did I get spammed? Bamboozled? Hoodwinked? Like a flash what was that?

Thoughts?

Just a marketer using a personalized email to thank you and offer a discount. No spamming or bamboozling. I would have waited till my 3rd email though, it works better...

so if he had emailed me 3 times on warrior forum that would have been ok?

Note I haven't had any contact outside of this forum with him. Observing his posts and websites I kinda like them both, but, we haven't had any message or emails personally to each other.

Rick is just saying it's nice to build up some kind of relationship through email before just offering products. It would have been different if he was offering something for free or just wanting to give you value at no cost to you.

But either way, it's not spamming. He had built a connection with you of some kind, so he followed up.

Ok I guess I wouldn't feel strange had he thanked me when I actually posted a response "in" his thread. He thanks me later via a WF message and tell me I can buy his products at a discount. I bet everyone who responded to his thread got the same message. I don't feel special, lol. It's ok though, i think
