Making More Money with Squidoo?

I have an old Squidoo lens that's consistently making between $15 - $30 per month. It's been up awhile, and I never really pay attention to it. The subject isn't something I'd dedicate an entire website to. In any case, since it's making money, I was wondering if anyone has tips on how to get even more traffic? I did some article marketing a few months ago, but that's the extent of my marketing. Any tips? Thanks.

Added: Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to focus a bit on Pinterest to see if it helps any.

    promoting a squidoo page is no different from promoting other website. Join in some forums related to your niche, comments in blogs, etc..

    Promote it as if it was an actual website, blog comment, articles, forum posts, social media ect.

    For squidoo pages I really like to focus on social marketing pinterest in particular. I am able to create a board about my subject and then link to the page through all the pictures.

      Thanks for the comments. I'm especially interested in using Pinterest, since that's a site I enjoy using. It never crossed my mind to use it in promoting this lens. Now I have a new project.

    Get involved in the community. There are some really good Squidoo forums that people go to and you can put a link in your sig. There are also facebook groups. This will help you get more traffic and SquidLikes.

    Other than that I suggest things like blog commenting, guest blogging, and sharing your lens on FB and Twitter.

    Is that $15 - $30 through Adsense or affiliate product promotion? I'd recommend the same things stated above, and get some more backlinks to your article. I'd also say possibly do a youtube video linking back to the article on the same subject.

      Youtube videos are great because you can also add them to the lens. Squidoo readers seem to love videos.

      It's affiliate product promotion from Amazon products.

        (1) Like other Squidoo lens-masters lenses, which falls in your category so that your lens will appear in their "related lens' section.
        (2) You can even run a backlinks campaign for your different modules, as they will show up in Google search.
        (3) Remember! a well optimized Squidoo lens can easily dominate search engines ranking because it has PR7 domain.
        (4) Ensure that you have some links going to authority sites as well like Wikipedia, etc.

    Once I create my lenses, I never promote them outside of the community. Like Amanda also said, get involved in the community, there are some great forums to showcase your lenses and ask for critiques. Also there are several Facebook groups for Squidooers where you can post your lenses.

    I've even stopped social bookmarking my lenses for the last couple of months and I haven't noticed any 'different' result from when I used to do heavier promotion for them, which suits me just fine as I always hated the backlinking part and instead I can focus on making more lenses or doing other better things with my time.

    Increasing your lensrank is always helpful. Try adding more relevant links, preferably to your own site, lenses, or affiliate products. Clickouts play a major role in lensrank.

    Does traffic from within the squidoo network actually result in sales? I have found only search engine traffic gets you sales.

    Are squdioo lenses pretty easy to rank as opposed to actual sites which require months of link building

      My personal experience is that yes. I've gotten sales from new lenses way before the lens was actually indexed in Google or got any external traffic. I posted it on a few places, the Squidoo forum, a few Facebook groups, and 2 days later I already got sales. From the Dashboard you can see from where the traffic is coming, and when this happened all my traffic was internal (or from Facebook). So yeah, it's not a sure thing, but I've seen it happen.

          Yes, you can get sales from the Squidoo community.

          If I am looking to buy something on Amazon, I will do a search on Squidoo to see who is marketing the product and I buy from their link. If I can't find the product on the Squidoo lens, I'll use someone's Amazon like anyway because they still get credit. I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this.

          Don't try this on your own lenses, however.

        do you post to facebook groups in your niche or a generic squidoo facebook group? I think I know the answer and it seems obvious. Are these groups open to you posting your lens on it's wall?

          Most fan pages are welcome to writing your lens on there wall. Some pages even motivates the visitor to, and helps share their lenses. Your lens is where you earn your money so when a fan page is offering something like that! Its a deal! WOOT!

    Yes! Squidoo can earn you for lifetime. One of the perks of writing for squidoo is that you will get paid on royalties each month. The way the payment system works out, you can be earning from every lens you create each month and they all build up. Just think if you have 100 lenses and each are earning just a few dollars! Well, Thats a nice addition to your income for the month!

    Squidoo is amazing. Great for backlinks, very easy to rank. It can hold a lot of authority if you build quality Squidoo lenses. I ordered from uSquidoo on Fiverr and the Squidoo Lens was so good I'm recommending it.

    Absolutely blown away by their work, if you are thinking about getting onto the Squidoo band wagon, you should check this guy out first.

    Join forums of the same niche and start comments, blogging and other resources to direct links to your squidoo page. Promote it just like your website.
