HELP....how to get traffic to myecommerce

My store has been up for 5 months, still i have not had a sale and very little organic traffic.
I did facebook campaign, but zero conversion, so a total waste of money.
I'm now doing ads on style/fashion related blogs. I just quit my job, to pursue this full-time, so if it doesn't pan out, I don't eat. Lol.
Also, I am doing pinterest, but havent had an ah-ah moment yet. Iuse wordtracker, for keywird research.
Please tell me what i can do to generate traffic. Is there something I m missing?
My website is trendsettervintage.com. I sell vintage, and I jut statred a promising line of dresses, made in the USA, and sold exclusively on my site and my eBay store.
Please, please, help me.
Thank you.

You could try starting up a Squidoo Lens about your website contents, especially the new dresses. Inlcude alink to your website and if possible have images of the dresses. In fact you could have two; one for the new things and one about the vintage things. They are free and easy to create.
You also need a blog to create a presence online. Keep posting about your website contents on facebook from your social page. This will cost you nothing but time.

I would say that traffic from search engine is targeted traffic to your site, what you have to do is to research keywords based on your site, optimize them, if needed, do on-page seo also, build links to give them first ranking, I'm sure it would give better conversion.

    • Thank you. I will try the squidoo lens as you suggested.

I do maintain a current blog, but i get mainly spam comments. My pages are optimized.

Any other suggestion? I am a work-horse and will try anything.

      Thanks

If you do not mind a bit of critique, I would focus on conversions.

    Here is my take.

Peoples actions and memory are driven by association.
On your site you have just 2 models. To me they look depressed.
A smile will go a long way and combine this with a proper setting for the dress. Not some bland background, but in an activity, enjoying a social setting. A night on the town., In front of something glamorous at night. Be creative.

    • Firstly....Ido notmind criticism, thank you......

Please keep them coming. I realized about background, and have started using scenic backgrounds for my custom dresses.
The smile thing is tricky, but we will test that one.
      Thanks agsin.

What kind of time frame are you looking at? You said you quit your job... ugh... why did you quit your job when your not making any money!

If you need to start making money within 1-2 months you should probably go ask for your job back. A site like this will need either

    1. extensive SEO work to get you into a position where you can get free constant traffic to your website.

    2. A marketing budget to work with while you do the SEO thing if you need money RIGHT NOW. The SEO work can take awhile to see any real results.

    3. Some kind of social media traffic to help you stay above water for the next couple of months till you work out the first problem. Go on sites like pinterest and start posting pictures of your clothes and point back to your website.

You got a tough road ahead of you, but at least you are in a smaller clothing niche. If this was your typical clothing store you'd be in some deep water.

Hi - What worked for me when I was selling physical products was I worked hard on my SEO and got tons of backlinks for my site/keywords, this pretty much blew the competition out the water and got me a first page listing!

Also if you have not already done so, I would consider having a section/page on my site that is keyword rich with articles related to the products that I am selling, the search engines will pick this up and send you more traffic.

There are many backlink specialist right here on the forum that can get you of to a good start.

    Hope this helps

Have you ever considered offline advertising?

Doesn't have to be expensive, start small.

Create some flyers - nice quality flyers advertising your products or a sale then head over to stores similar to yours and hand them our with a smile

Once you have some money coming in move onto online advertising and SEO

    Good luck - Eat well
