Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting other people's products in return for a commission.

You'd need to sign up to a particular vendor's affiliate program, get affiliate links to their products and then set about promoting their products in various ways

    - on your site (banner ads or reviews)
    - email marketing - if you have a list of subscribers
    - buying traffic to send to the site
    and so on.

You can choose to promote across various markets and niches or focus on one particular niche within a popular market.

Health & Fitness is a large market
Weight loss is a niche in that market
weight loss for women is drilling that niche down to a sub-niche
weight loss for women over 60 is yet another niche

And i have read many advices to do keyword search. but their method is too complicated or too outdated. Do you have a method to find right keywords?.

Go to Google's keyword selection tool and type in the niche or market you are interested in and then find volume searches with not too much competition. Most software packages for keywords use Google's data to draw on. And it's free!

Any additional help you'll find in excellent WSOs available on WF.

Why some sites uses their name as their domain name and still rank high?. Is it possible to rank high even you use your name as a domain?

The sites where people (marketers or authors) use their names as their domain name are created only after they have made a name for themselves and people search for their products using their names.

Their ranking depends on the relevance and quality of content on their site.

And also if i created a site or blog can i put different topics on my site?.

It's generally a good idea to create a site around a particular niche or topic. You can put anything you like on your blog but if you want to target and attract a certain type of customer/subscriber, you'd need to be more focused on your content.

    Hope this helps.

A niche is a sub-segment of the population.

Golfing ---> Irons --->Cavity backed irons

    Each is more specific, see?

Affiliate marketing is marketing someone else's stuff (often to a niche)

Wow! I thought you have ONE question??? Well, let me try to answer your multiple questions on multiple topics.

    1. what is the difference betwee niche marketing and affiliate marketing?

Niche marketing simply means focusing on a particular segment of the market - perhaps one which you have knowledge about or interest on.

Affiliate marketing means marketing someone else's product for which you receive a commission.

    2. And i have read many advices to do keyword search. but their method is too complicated or too outdated. Do you have a method to find right keywords?.

Which method do you find complicated or outdated? I don't see any complexity to keyword research at all. I simply use Google Adwords Keyword Tool to find out what a lot of people are searching for online and the words they use to find what they're looking for. The keyword tool lists related words / phrases and the number of people who have searched using those words. Just pick the ones with the greatest number of searches.

    How is that complicated?

    3. Why some sites uses their name as their domain name and still rank high?. Is it possible to rank high even you use your name as a domain?.

Why not? Search engine ranking depends on so many factors including the number of back links from good quality sites, keyword optimization, etc.

    4. And also if i created a site or blog can i put different topics on my site?.

You can put whatever topic you want on your site. Why not? But if you have a website selling travel packages, your website visitors may not care for a blog on a topic about stray cats - so you'd just be wasting your time.

Now my turn to ask a question.

Did you just wake up one day with all these questions running in your head and had to ask in the forum?

    Hope this helps anyway.

    Cheers

There are many strategies on how to do keyword research properly. Some of they are better, some are worse, some don't work at all, some are outdated and some are great.

The key in keyword research is to find highly-trafficked keywords that have comparably low competition. To get traffic data on the keywords of your interest, you can use the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. It also gives you the CPCs for the keywords.

For competition research, best practice is to search for the target keyword and view the top ten competitors and what they are doing, how many backlinks they have and what kind of backlinks they are, check their on-page SEO, etc.

Then think for yourself if you can beat them in the SERPs. If it seems impossible, find another keyword.

Also, the higher the CPC the better, because the more demand there is and the more money there is to be made using that keyword.

Keyword research is vital in SEO, if you are building site to get SEO traffic without targeting any particular keywords, it's like beaten in lottery. You may and may not target the right keywords.

    Hi,
Affiliate marketing is selling other people's products, mostly online, and getting paid a percentage of the sale amount as a commission. Niche marketing is where you focus on a particular aspect of consumer demand and work on making sales in that market. For example, affiliate marketing in the natural skin care niche, you understand.

As for keyword research, you can basically use the free Google Adwords Tool to find good keywords that have reasonable amount of traffic and competition, but I have to say that gathering all of the necessary information using it would take hours longer than just investing a few dollars to use a paid keyword research tool.

One of the keyword research tools that I know work really well is Long Tail Pro, and it also comes with tons of really helpful training videos to get you started.

Other people also recommended Market Samurai and Traffic Travis keyword tools. Wordtracker seems to be really good as well, though a bit on the expensive side!

    Hope that helps!
