Why has my thread been closed?

Hi everyone
just wondering why a thread I started showing people how to use Linkedin and giving away lost of useful info has now been closed. Loads of people thanked me for the info. I do have link in my sig thread which is just good old information. I went there today to add some more info and its closed!!
Anybody know why its closed?

      Oops did have a link in the sig file but its to the thread itself. Is that the problem I wonder

        I can see several reasons it might be locked.

        The thread has turned into a "follow me" thread as you have bumped it several months to keep it going.

        You are using it to announce an upcoming WSO on the same topic.

        The thread was not deleted - so the useful info in it remains.

    I'm guessing the closed thread was seen as a sales page for an upcoming WSO.
