Ladies and gentlemen, I am a hoarder and collector. I have amassed a huge amount of saved WF threads on my hard drive. However, I recently had the painful experience of losing a thread I wanted to make use of. It was a thread about using public domain material by Kneb Knebaih. I knew that thread was going to be deleted - and even warned others to make sure to save a copy for themselves. Unfortunately, it was a very long thread with many pages and I believe the process of combining all those individual pages manually into one pdf corrupted the whole shebang. Entirely 'operator error', btw. So now it's not accessible and of course I didn't save the individual pages...but I digress! If you ever find yourself trying to save a thread that has grown to several pages in length, definitely consider buying Elmer Hurlstone's and nextebizguy's (Tom's) product (WF Thread Downloader)! this product will combine all pages of a thread into one single file which you can then save to your hard drive as is or convert to pdf, etc. IT IS WONDERFUL! Please note - this shout out is entirely unsolicited. I will benefit in no way from folks purchasing his product. I'm simply a very satisfied customer. Here's the link to his WSO (although closed, you can still purchase through this link for slightly higher price - still way worth it!): http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ull-agree.html Cindy P.S. If ANYONE has a complete saved version of Kneb's deleted thread, would you be willing to share it with me? I'm more than willing to grovel. |

Cindy, Thank you very much for the testimonial. Tom and I appreciate it. Just to address one point of your post, the WSO ended some time back and the price did increase--by about three bucks. Regards, Elmer |

Hey Elmer, I went back in and added Tom's name to my shout out! Don't know how I missed doing that. Ack! I also noted that the WSO was closed, but that folks could still purchase through your link, although at a slightly higher price (still underpriced for the value, I think). I'm sure I'm not the only one that hoards threads for later use/study. All it takes is losing one thread through deletion to realize how valuable WFTD really is! Cindy |
