Am I taking the RIGHT action with my membership site? Forgive me IM Gods for I have sinned!
Fellow warriors and IM Gods... I have sinned,
I have been complacent and unfocused in the last 30 days. During this time I was able to bring my cousin in as a guest blogger and get an idea about how to use her in my video courses and churned out a few blogs.

I currently have a website up and running geared toward how to market online and offline to this particular niche. I have a e-mail list of maybe 200-300 compiled from my clients who are well into this niche. I plan on using Mail Monkey to contact my list initially then use Aweber for opt-in to free video content. I built the website on WordPress to help manage video courses and info blogs with membership components as well as other premium content.
My cousin and I have created about 3 or 4 blog post and created google pages so our posts show on google with our avatar / profile pic next to it. The posts replicate to facebook fan pages and twitter. The social media aspect is something my cousin instituted. The posts are on google and are relevant to the info products we are creating.
I have a PowerPoint presentation I used to give to potential clients on why they should market to their niche and how their niche is untapped or under-served. It usually sold them on why they should use my services. I am breaking this presentation up into 4 section to be setup as 5 part video coarse. This will be the free offer which will include resources and premium blog posts. Once the free coarse is set i plan to spin off 4-6 different courses. I am currently creating a squeeze page for the free video coarse and will do A/B testing to see if I should make the sqeeze page my home page or have a generic take action home page that sends them to the squeeze page. I will also be doing off line promotion of the website in order to drive more traffic.
Now to my question of taking the right action. Am I going the right direction focusing on blogging to promote organic traffic to push to premium content? What percentage of blog posts should be made free? 60/40%? The premium blogs will consist of precursor information for potential video coarses. Should my video courses be time released? Now that I think about it I beleive the squeeze page would be idea for a home page... testing will confirm. Should I have a multi-tiered membership scheme or keep it simple? If multi-tiered it would be structured as
Free - Access to Free Video Course
Silver Montly Fee - Access to specific Video Course and all premium blogs
Gold Annual Fee - Access to all content
Platinum Annual Fee - Includes Gold Access and Coaching Program
This should be enough to get started.... I know that they saw shoot first and ask questions so I am looking to take actions in that way... for the most part I have a small list and dont want to loose them by not having a n ideal workflow... i think the squeeze page would be the best way to start then drive traffic.
Lastly should I have my squeeze page and video course complete before I promote it to my list? Most of my list knows my clients and the work I have done for them.
