Should I enter animation video business?

Hi,

I'm able to create animation videos similar to this one:

youtube.com/watch?v=LPl1o2_hrlo

or basic animations (not complicated ones) we see on many popular websites like dropbox, spotify etc.

But I need a storyboard and script to make it live. I voiceover it very professionally.

But, before starting taking orders for it, I need to know if there is a demand for it here. Since I've been working, I don't have much time, but I can allocate a great deal of time into it.

I don't want to charge for it with crazy amounts. I really like the community here and I'd like to help as many warriors as possible. But, it takes too much time to create those kind of animation videos including professional voiceover.

Please tell me if you'd be interested and how much money are you willing to pay per minute. I'm not planning to make more than 2 minutes videos. I know every project is different and cost will be different as well.

Thanks a lot for reading and hopefully I'll be able to help you with animated videos on your video marketing efforts.

You can also send me PM stating that what sort of videos you might be interested in and what your budget is.

  • What you can or should charge for the product or service is ultimately your decision based on what you feel your time is worth to create 1 or 2 minute animated videos with all the work that is included.

However from a consumer perspective, it will depend mostly on your sales presentation. (we know this to be fact).

Having a slick professional looking website that includes tons of great examples and testimonials from satisfied customers would qualify you to earn far more for your services than having a mediocre website with only one or two average looking samples similar to those offered on fiverr.com.

If at this point in time we were to be looking for your service, we would want to at least see many great samples created by "you", before we would be able to tell if you have the potential of delivering what we needed. That's the only way to put a value and a price on it.

    Why not?

Create some samples. Load them up on youtube. And create an ad here at WF for Hire section.

Offer some preset video package at lowest cost possible to give chance to new customers to taste your service.

Then offer your custom service with more advantages on it for more price.

    Good luck!

I have thought also of offering a video service. I am not trying to hijack your thread.

I am sure Allyc would like to know what sort of pricing point to start charging.

What pricing point should one start out as a special per 30 seconds of video?

Is $19 per 30 second too high for a sample package?

I hope those are pertinant questions and I have helped in some small way.

    Thanks
