Wordpress forums: Any recommendations?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi all,

I'm looking for a forum plugin that'll work in Wordpress - I don't want it to replace Wordpress, but just to work inside a WP page.

I've tried Mingle, but I don't like the skins (and don't have time to create my own), and bbPress, but it looks like this one just runs inside the admin area.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Sam,

Mingle has worked a treat for me and all of my customers. I'm not sure what you don't like about the skin? Can you elaborate? The default one is simple and clean and much more user friendly than a lot of the other forum solutions I have seen out there.

I've got over 1,300 members and 3,600 posts and have never once had an issue.

My customers love it.

Thanks Adie, I did find that page too

Will, I found the default skin was a bit old-school, but mostly just too blue. The site is for a client who is using green, grey, with a tiny bit of purple for the theme, and so the blue clashes badly. I tried one of the skins that was all grey, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with the new plugin version.

Is your forum public? If so, would you mind sending me a link? I'd love to see it in action.

Thanks Will - your forum looks great!

I think the colour clashes are making the biggest impact with mine. Mine is also squashes to fit into a much narrower page too.

Thanks again for the link - now that I see it can actually look good, I might do some tweaking!
