Whats with the latest teleseminars?

Hi all
I like to get on to at lot of IM lists just to learn from them, but recently have noticed with free play backs of teleseminars they are not saveable MP3's and the like to load onto an ipod etc. rather than a media player embedded into a php webpage. I know a lot of these teleseminars have a short life span if they are promoting a particular product but some do have some inspirational material on them.
Is this the in thing right now?
Any insite would be appreciated
