Personally I think graphics design is one of the best. It's an evergreen industry that's sure to last for years to come.

You can make some great money from being a writer. You just need to find the write clients who understand the value of paying extra for valuable content.

Plus, you have to actually be able to write!

I just think its too much work to look for such clients. The vast majority out there are looking for $1 articles. OMG

Ebook cover designs is still hot now. You can join Fiverr and offer some services here. Or go and advertise with your own website... displaying your portfolio and past clients - so that visitors can get an idea of the kind of work that you will produce.

Visit fiverr.com and see what other people are offering. Maybe you have some hidden talents you might discover by seeing the offers there.

Before you start looking, make a list of all the skills you have. Then choose one or two that you believe are your best skills and start marketing them.
Regardless of your skill, it is tough finding clients at times so you have to be patient and persistent.

Forget Fiverr.com guys. I would say I'm biased on this one, but you get what you pay for - don't sell yourself short.

Anyways, here's what we're doing, since we actually hope to sale a few services here on Warriorforum to help promote our own website - find something in the current buy/sell section that isn't being offered. Article writing is being done over and over, but can you target a certain TYPE of writing? Are you fantastic in writing ebooks? Then make your service ONLY about ebooks. Many writers choose to say "I can write about a, b, c, d, e AND f", but that just means they're a jack of all trades and a master of none (something like that). I would concentrate on one niche, and own it. For example, find out what makes a great ebook, read anything you can, and give a few out for free for solid feedback. Feedback is very important.

What people don't know about Doublelinx (shameless plug) is that we have many people behind the scenes that have sold packages for years on several IM forums. Feedback from there is going to take our website from nothing to something, and it already has as in stages. It works the same way with developing your package - find out what works, and make that better!

In conclusion - become a master in a certain niche. Learn everything you can about that niche and FOR GOD SAKE, MAKE A GRAPHIC THAT EXPLAINS YOUR SERVICE. We're doing a study on Doublelinx (another shameless plug) and graphics are getting a 30% better sales rate then plain text sales copy! If you spend money on your sales ad, you'll make it back very quickly.

Oh yea, streamline your stuff as soon as you get too big for your britches. And find a order management system that fits your package - buyers don't like to have to email you all the time to find out about their order.

I guess the better question you must ask to yourself first is your set of skills. You won't profit from any freelance job if you're skills does not quite fit the job description.

Graphics design, programming or webpage creation are a few of the things that you could try out.

Don't worry about the price or being undercut, you charge what is appropriate for the quality of your service, your aim is not to be the cheapest out there.

I would loooove to be making money for my writing! I think the best way of doing it right now might be to write e-books and sell them.

If you put emphasis on quality of writing than those people won't be a problem for you. Charge more, offer outstanding quality and that should work.

I'd say writing and graphic design would be your best bet and start.

Writing is still definitely hot up to now, there are a lot of clients who are looking for writers. If you are good in writing it doesn't matter if there are a lot of Indians and Filipino writers as long as you are good you will definitely find someone who needs your service. But if not you may try web design as well.. Good Luck
