Charging Taxes Online

INTERNET MARKETING

Greetings everyone.

We are selling book and a 6 part online video course.

The books are shipping from Colorado. However, the company is based in Canada. Do I need to charge sales tax on the books. If so, I would assume it would only be to Colorado residents, since we don't have a facility in any other state.

The other product we're selling is a series of 6 online training videos. Do I need to charge tax on that to anyone?

I would recommend getting advice from your tax office on this one. I know some regions say it is taxable on the buyers address, and some say it is taxable fro the point of dispatch.

  I know with clickbank they auto charge tax so you may want to contact your payment processer or local tax office for advice on this subject
