How to monetize my website with 5000 monthly visitors all organic

Hi guys,

My wife has a site that sell home made cakes, cookies,deserts, etc. Its located in portugal but due to the crisis we are not selling cakes that well.

Today i was looking and we are having about 5000 monthly visitors only from google organic traffic, beeing 80% from google.com and 20% from google.pt

So i wondered to use some cpa, i have saw groupon that pays 8% of the sale comission, do think its a good option or there are better cpa offers, i could use 2 or 3 offers.

Because i think its a waste to get 5000 visitors and cant monetize it.

    I agree with Hamish Jones. You can start attracting your viewers with your recipe book there are a lot of moms at home who are very interested in baking. Not only moms, even young entrepreneur who wants to start their own pastry business.

      Well thanks guys.

      Since we have 5000 monthly visitors, beeing about 1000 UV and having 2 major Organic Traffic sources (Google.com and Google.pt) i was wondering to create an Recipe Ebook in Portuguese (for portuguese people) and another in English (for english people)

      I have noticed this will have at least 150 Pages of full content. and i was aiming something like to sell for $14.99 (USA) or €9.99 (PT) do you believe this price tag will be adequate?

      Then i also think that i can try to upsell the book with something... now the question is what is the "something" i could upsell in this niche?

      Cakes is definitely not my niche

    Cakes is not my niche either but if you are [planning on having an up-sell, you would probably be better creating an opt-in form and giving away the first book for free. Build a list and then promote your second product to that list. At least this way you have the option of creating more products further down the line and making more cash. This is by far the best solution in my opinion. Everyday you are losing visitors to your website and even if you decide to sell your first book right out the gate, you will still be leaving money on the table with the visitors that don''t purchase... which will be a lot.
