Article writting but you're not the writer? Is it profitable?

by urbanned 7 replies
I am currently trying out article marketing for clickbank product but I don't write my own article, I outsource them. Have not seen any result yet, so I just wanna ask if any of you have tried this before.

You pay a writer maybe $5/article to write and then you submit them to article directory such as ezinearticle. Does this make a profit or am I spending more money then I could profit from?

Need some advice here. Currently I am paying $5 per article for long tail keywords. (damn ezinearticle is taking forever to approve)

I'm also hiring writers as my mother tongue isn't English. I pay under $3 for unique 500 words article and submitting to EZA. And making $ 25-$50 per week.

YEs, it's a sound technique. If you chose your niche wisely and know that people buy, $50 per 10 articles is a wise investment... If you can find $3 articles and submit even more, it's better.

    But...

Make sure that you build your list...

    And...

Have a strong marketing funnel in place.

    See this as an investment.

It's only profitable if you have done the correct keyword research. Do make sure that the keyword you "write" on have high search volume and low competition level. When you are submitting articles to ezinearticles, make sure the resource box is attractive for the visitor to click on. Provide something "free" and of value of them when they click the url.

There are so many factors that come into play here. The product you're promoting, how many articles you have uploaded, the quality of the articles, your resource box, your landing page, etc. Check your EZA stats and see how many views your articles are getting, and how many clickthroughs. Very low views - try creating more compelling article titles. Low clickthroughs - this can be due to a poor quality article or an uninteresting resource box, or both.

Article marketing is profitable, but don't expect to start making a bundle of sales after just 5 or 10 articles. If you're still new to it, there's probably going to be a period of trial and error while you discover what works best for the niche you're targeting.

It's everything put together that wil bring you success...

if you are having articles written for $5 a hit, but they are not correctly keyword optimized, have a bad headline and have a crap resource box...no-one will ever visit your site..and when eventually someone does decide to click a link in the resource box and they get through to your main site and find that the sales copy is either overly hyped or just plain terrible, then no sales ever!!

So if this is the scenario, then yes you are wasting $5 everytime...

However, if the opposite is true, then this is a fantastic way to spend money to earn money!!

Just to give an idea, i was doing some keyword research yesterday in one of my niches and came across an ezine article that ranked number 2 for a certain keyword. After checking it out i found it had 530,288 views since November 13th 2005!!! WOW!!

So just working on the law of averages, i know the clickbank product on this persons review page pays out $25...so

if an average of 15% people clicked the link in this articles resource box (not a great percentage!!), that would be 79,534 visitors to the main website.

if an average of 2 in every 100 visitors bought the product (again not a great percentage), that would be 1591 sales..

and at $25 a hit, thats $39,975 this one article has produced over the last 3 years...so that's not a bad return on a $5 investment!!!

Worst thing was, once i read the article...i knew i could do a better job..just 3 years too late i guess!!!

The problem with cheap articles is that they are usually not nice to read, thus people don't read them till the end, so your resource link is not clicked.
