Ultimate list building FAIL

I make how-to videos and so far I've been giving away the how-to pdf for free, but I want to start building my list and have people give me their email for the pdfs.

The problem is I have multiple videos and pdfs and I want it so when someone enters their email they get access to all my pdfs not just the ones they entered their email for. I Also want to put everyone on the same list.

how would I do this? What software would do this?

I was thinking a membership site, but idk if that is the best or easiest way to go.

    Why don't you just list the different download links on the thank you- page ? Meaning that when they enter their email, they would get redirected to a thank you- page where they'd see all of your links for different ebooks. Or you could just put them all into one download.

    You can also just embed the videos on the thank you- page, just remember to not put them on autoplay.

    If the problem is that you don't know how to set up the site, just search warriorforum or google for something like "how to set up a squeeze page" and you should find tons of guides on that.

      @quahas that would work, but the problem with putting it on the thank you page is that there would be so many pdf download links it would be overweening. Plus there would be download links to videos that the subscriber hasn't seen yet and I don't want to confuse them.

      I know how to build the site.

      I imagined on the site there would be an opt in box after each video and after they have signed up all of the opt in boxes are replaced with a download link for the corresponding videos pdf.

    all i do is i send people to a download page where they can download there products

    i host all my files on amazon s3

    if you send people to a download page you can include different pdf`s so people can choose which ones they want to download

    i use optimize press to create my pages which makes things really easy and fast

      Make your download page seperate from the Thank You/Confirmation page. That way they only get the downloads if they have given you a valid email.

      Send the actual link to the download page in the first email.

      I use the thank you page to build a rapport with new subscribers and I let them know that they'll receive a link to the download page in email.

      On that page you can provide good info and link to another page that can send them to your first promotion.

      Aweber is one of the better and affordable autoresponder/email marketing services. Everyone from that one webform will be placed on the same list. In Aweber you would first creat a list that all your subscribers will be added to and then create a webform when that list is selected.

      There is more to it but there are tutorials and a wizard that will walk you through most of the process.

        Just offer them 1 freebie per squeeze page. Since you stated you have a ton of stuff, why not package it into products to sell?

        And make sure to segment your list(s) - the more targeted you are with your email messages in future correspondence, the more return/sales you'll see.

    If you are concerned about your page looking cluttered with all the download video links and download PDF links then how much stuff are you giving away?

    That certainly sounds like it would be a lot of stuff, so my next question would be why do you want to give it ALL away right at the beginning?

    What I would do if I were you is to offer say a 5 part video course with accompanying pdfs for each video. This would be in exchange for the intial opt-in.

    Then any of the other how-to stuff you can spread out over a period of 1, 2, or 3 months (depending on how much stuff you are giving away).

    You can do this using Aweber, sending your email subscribers say 1 free report per week.

    This way they have something to look forward to, and a reason to open up your emails.

    If you just give everything away all up front then what would be their continuing reason to stay on your list?

    They could just download all your stuff, and then unsubscribe. And if they do that then what are you left with?

    With email lists you want to provide value, but that doesn't mean giving away the whole store!

    Just use aweber/get response, setup an email followup each day/week where an email is sent with a new pdf inside.

    Is there a way you can build a membership site, where a download link for the pdf appears on the same page w/ the video only if the person is signed in as a valid member? Maybe some type of script or something?

    Oh, I thought this might be a thread about me that's why I clicked on it.

    I'm with whoever said to list them on a separate download page they get access to after confirming their email. I would agree with doing the autoresponder thing but that might be annoying to a subscriber if they have to wait forever to get the download they want.
