You can find many WordPress tutorials online if you just Google it. WordPress is really not hard to learn at all.

I agree, I am new to blogging and it took me just a few hours to understand the basics of Wordpress.

But, it is an ongoing process as you will constantly come up against new problems and like many have said, google it and you will have plenty of choice.

One of the best places is Youtube, I find that watching a demo rather than reading it is far easier to follow and you can always bookmark it and watch it again.

WP101.com is a very useful site. Have you checked them out yet? Otherwise, you can always read on WordPress Codex.

    Hi ketchirwin,

I'm not sure if you're looking for a resource person who can personally train you on WP or not. But if you're looking for a great resource, you can find almost everything you want to know about WordPress.

We have a client who regularly orders WordPress-related DIY articles and blogs and what we do is simply Google everything. There's just way too much that you can get online.

I agree.....the wordpress site itself is a good resource. Great place to start.

Remember this about wp......there are the MAJOR points and there are the MINOR points. focus on the important things first, ie posting, adding images, adding links, changing the header....those are the things you can master in a weekend...then just become familiar by just getting in there and adding content.

Minor points (still v important but not essential to get started): installing and configuring plugins, changing privacy settings, redesigning your site, etc. You can sort those out next week. Just stick with the basics this week.

I got overwhelmed when I first started with wp....so that is the best advice I can give you.

Contact me via my profile if you need to.

    All the best,

    Jerry Kuzma

Whenever I have a question or problem with wordpress I just search youtube...I find what I'm looking for 99% of the time on there...that goes with anything technical I'm trying to do also...watching a video for a few minutes can save you an hour trying to figure it out on your own

Wordpress is really pretty easy to learn, very intuitive and probably one of the best website frameworks out there. Wordpress itself has loads of good tutorials on their site. Also lots on Youtube.
Use your hosting service to install Wordpress on your domain (in the cpanel),
Then find a good theme to work from. There are a number of really good ones out there. Personally, I think this is something worth spending time getting right, even putting some $$ out. There are lots of good themes in the Warrior Special Offers pages. There is a few really good ones free, on Wordpresses site.
Use the tutorial provided to learn how to install, activate and customize your theme. By the time you are done figuring out how to customize your theme, you will be well on your way to mastering Wordpress!

      Good luck!

Some Interesting Replies here about How to Learn Wordpress.

Its a posistion I am in Right Now & as another Poster has Written its not hard to Learn. As for the Best Training, well Wordpress has its own Learning Programme built into it, which I believe You can Locate under Links or Library. these are in step by step easy to follow Guide Form

I would like to direct people to our comprehensive WordPress training here:

    WordPress Training

The first four modules, including the "WordPress basic training sequence" are free.

I have been teaching WordPress full-time for 3 years to hundreds of people, and what we've found, is that while Wordpress itself is not hard to learn, all the associated technologies that are also necessary to build a site, along with themes and plugins (I particularly recommend commercial themes) are complex. Learning by searching Youtube is IMHO a measure of last resort
