I am very new, thank you. I wasn't sure if there was ways of making money without your own site. So step 1 - build website....

You don't need to own your own site. There are ways to make money without one. Is it better to have your own, yes. Do you have more control over your business if you own your own, yes. But it isn't 100% neccessary.

You could start with squidoo, or create a free blogger blog. Now, both are these are decent to start, but you don't own the content so at any point they can pull the plug from under you. With your own site you own it so this wont happed. If you absolutely have no money to spend these are both decent free options.

Also, you could offer your services say as a writer or desinger. There are lots of sites out there where you can do this. Or, you could make a fiverr gig and make some moeny off of that and get reviews to expand your services.

There are tons of ways to make money online with and without your website. You just have to look and be dedicated!

It depends what you want to do, for some things, you don't need a website, for some you should have one. But you never have to have one to make money.

The beauty of the web is there are so many ways you could go about making money. Think YouTube, Emails, Articles, Fiverr(you can get more on that in my link). For all of these, a website is an addition that you need, but not one that you must have. And with some original twists website would not be something that important.

Edit: Just to give you some perspective, this month, with one day of work I earned $100+ without any website, was just testing out a method, trying to see if it would work. I could and will probably do more work on that later, but at the moment I have some other exciting projects I am testing.

If you are indeed very dedicated then you should really have your own website. Build relationships on that website, build a list and then sell to those people over and over again.

You don't need a website to make money but having a website (especially a personal one) will benefit you far more further down the road.

Building a list is crucial for success online. It makes things much easier when you have an audience that trusts you versus having to keep making ongoing sales. A auto responder costs $19 a month for the first 500 subscribers. Its $10 a month for hosting. $7 a year for a domain. We are up to a initial $36 investment and $30 ongoing investment to have your own site. Its best to have full control over the content you create on your site. Nobody can shut you down. $30 a month... What's the problem here?

I don't think it's a problem having one, I just don't know what content I would have on it? (very new so please be patient with me!)

Website is key. Social media is key too as it is more powerfull then the website itself.

It's kind of a basic skill in internet marketing, even if you never really make money with one.

You do not need a website when starting online. You need to build a list of people to market to. Building an e-mail list is crucial. Finding great products to promote is essential or producing your own (if you have that skill) Build relationships with other internet marketers so they can help you. If you use skype, try to connect with other internet marketers there.

Not necessarily.... If you are a writer then It is not necessary, but if you are a web designer, programmer, internet marketer then yes need to have one.
