Question For You Tube Marketers: What works Best Screenshot Videos Or Webcam Videos

Hi everyone,

I am planning on amongst other things to get more involved with youtube affiliate marketing promoting Clickbank products that based on my research i'd be happy to review.

N.B. Thanks Alexa I will be using your awesome threads on how to research good products!

I just wanted to ask successful youtube marketers or at least people who have tested this out a bit what works best for them.

I have discussed with a few people how they would go about reviewing CB products and have had a mixed response. What seems to work best for people, is it using screenshot videos with something like Camtasia with just my voice in there going through the product or does a webcam video showing my face create more of a feeling of trust and convert better overall.

The other thing is in terms of ranking in the search results do you think people will feel more inclined to click on the youtube thumbnail if they see a face as opposed to a screenshot?

    I think showing your face is better, but screenshots + voice also works well, and I think people is inclined to give a + vote when find a usuful or funny video, no matter how it was made

        I'm assuming it, just I think that in promoting something is good showing a face, in fact, I'm planning doing it in that way

        Of course I think is better but not determinant, other ways could works too

          Right this is my assumption too, and I would imagine it would be the same with people clicking on the thumbnail in the Google search results IMO.

          However, it would be interesting to see what others think especially those who have tested this.

            Yes, it would be interesting other's opinions, but definitely I'll test a face video :rolleyes:

    A blog post about the kind of videos one can use and, at the end, a comparison about what kind of videos where most effective/made the most profit.

      Thanks a lot for this post it certainly helps me out in which way to go.
      However, it does seem interestingly enough that his preference is more for a screenshot video showing inside the product as opposed to a webcam video showing his face.

    "Quality really counts when it comes to filming yourself. Jad stands out because his videos offer better quality than the other “experts” who film themselves with a simple webcam."

    Perhaps he isn´t convinced about the quality of his selfmade videos showing his face or he doesn´t want to buy any expensive equipment.
