3rd party processors & Upgrade sections.

I have my own newly set up Sports Forum. Within this forum I'd like a plugin or option to Donate or make an 'upgrade' payment. Last year I had my Paypal account closed after an issue with an Ebay member over an item that they no longer wanted. Eventually Paypal shut down my account, didnt accept my appeals and so on.
Whenever I try to use a plugin or adapt one into my site now it requires me to have a paypal account to pay the upgrade fee into. Im just wondering if anyone has had any experience of this before and if so what they did. I have been recommended to get a 3rd party processor that accepts upgrades directly from cards only.
So my questions are;
Has anyone had experience with this before?
If so what kind?
Is their a way round this im not thinking of?
What is the best 3rd party processor?
