Advice on hiring writers/editor

I am looking to start a website where I will likely need 8 articles a day for content. Since I am looking to turn this into a real business, I need to hire an editor and/or some writers. I do not have a lot of money though since I am in grad school.

I was wondering if people had advice on how to get my site going for as little money is possible. Also, the readers in my niche are good BS detectors so I can't have poorly written and not engaging articles at all. My niche is big on authenticity, trust, and quality for what they are interested in.

The first thing to deal is your budget. How much are you going to pay for these articles on daily basis? Since you are a student, if you have time, I think it would be better if you write your own articles. 8 quality articles would cost you a minimum of $80 and I think it will be tough for a student to spend $80 per day although I don't know your financial capability.

"A lot of money.." and how it's defined varies from person to person... 8 articles a day of good quality, could run you $100-more... or it could run you $40. it also depends on the quality....

I started my business at 15 (as evidenced on the forum in a few places), with no capital, no investment, and almost no time to work on it (I was in high school... in fact I just graduated). - and yet I built it successfully. I started by working, working for my stuff... I did little things to earn money to buy my first domain, and instead of hiring other people to write articles for me, I wrote them myself...

I'd recommend writing all the articles for yourself, so you know exactly what you want, otherwise you'll find yourself unhappy with the works of others... and also, you'll build up capital, that you can use for future ventures. I haven't wrote an article since my first couple sites.

You can get in touch with writers in ODesk, be careful in reading their portfolio and subject them for a probation period where you can easily assess their skill. This way you can suggest any style of writing you need for your site. If their style and skill does not quite fit your needs, then you can easily hire another. With iwriter on the other hand. What you need to do is to be clear on your instructions, I recommend premium writers so you can get better quality. In here, all articles are run through copyscape. You also have the privilege to approve or reject an article. If you like a particular writer's work you can send them a special request easily with no extra charge.

You can also find content writers, affordable content writers on freelance sites like freelaner.cok, odesk etc. apart from freelance site, you can find writers in forum and they work good.

You can try oDesk, Freelancer, or Elance OR you can try microjob sites, just remember don't pay upfront fees and check for references and feedbacks of the one you're going to hire.

Thanks! I put an add on craigslist for writers as well. This is probably one of my biggest obstacles. I think I might hire someone every couple of weeks just so I can start with some fresh content. Then, I will have to write the rest my self.

You can find a lot of good writers here on Warrior Forum. Place a small order to see if you like their writing style.

You could also talk to your fellow students. They might be willing to write for pizza money.

A smaller amount of interesting articles works better than a whole lot of boring content.

I am a writer and i have hired writers to work for me in the past. If you really need to hire a writer make sure to screen them properly before you assign a order. Regardless, if you are still looking for a writer feel free to PM me.
