What is your 'reason' to offer your contents free in order to gain subscribers?

Hi, well I think the title is confusing, but I couldn't find any better than this because I am running low on brain at this time (working from last 9 hours).

Ok, I want to know what 'reason' you mention on your website, if you're offering something for free which contains your affiliate link.

For example, what would be your answer, if your subscriber wants to know why you're offering your report on 'weight loss' free of cost?

I hope you understand my question.

If someone can rephrase my question, it would be of great help.

Thanks

-Steve

You want to give me something valuable for free? What's in it for you? What do you get out of it?

Legitimate questions, the answers to which could have a huge effect on the conversion rate for your offer.

When I see someone proclaiming that they "just want to give something back", especially a total unknown, it gets my BS meter buzzing. With rare exceptions, no one is that altruistic.

I prefer to answer the question straight on. Off the top of my head, and subject to polishing:

"You're probably asking yourself right now, 'sounds good, but what do you get out of this?'

    Very smart question...

I'll level with you. I get a bunch of things out of this. One of which is a big ego stroke when someone takes my stuff, does well with it, and tells me about it. (Which I hope you'll do, too.) In addition, I get to set myself up for more of those ego strokes by sending you more good information and valuable offers from time to time. I like the strokes, so I never send stuff just to send it. Okay, sometimes the offer will have a link coded so I get a little bump if someone follows the link and takes the offer. We all have to keep the lights on, right?

You've already showed me you're a smart cookie. Do the smart thing, put your email address in the form, and click the send button."

Very rough, but you should get the idea...

Especially if they're "giving away" something stuffed with their affiliate links

It makes me laugh when I see stuff like that.

To the OP - It sounds like you're looking for a way to make it sound like you're doing them a favour by giving them info with your affiliate links in - If YOU can't think how to tell them that in a good way, it's probably worth you giving it some thought rather than just getting us to give you nice ways to say it.

Understanding why what you are doing has value to other people is the foundation of marketing and well worth spending time on. If you get us to tell you and then move on - you may miss some of the value that this part of learning IM has.

The reason is... too many people really love FREE stuff than not. At least they want a FREE teaser. The simple way to say is... This is like too many fishes love to get FREE worm and don't care with the bait on it to catch them.
So... I will do it and throw the worm away for FREE and hope I'll get that "big-fish" like JohnMcCabe showed on his avatar.

I offer a free live training event to build leads, the reason I do this is to truly help people achieve results in their lives, I have so much fun doing this and it allows me to build a connection and a real relationship with my audience.

This also helps me gain clients for my 3 day live bootcamps. I also email free blog posts full of helpful content to my audience whenever I learn a new life lesson.

I genuinely do it to help people out, but it is also nice to be able to make a very substantial and stable income doing what I already love to do, and that is to help people perfect every aspect of their lives.
