Feedburner - What does it do?

I see Feedburner around all the time on blogs, but I am a little clueless about its purpose.

Are you supposed to integrate it somehow with Aweber or Getresponse?

If someone could clue me in on the purpose of Feedburner, I would appreciate it!

    Feedburner is (was) an easy way for users to subscribe to your RSS feed using email or a feed reader.

    In short, it's meant to add some features to your existing website RSS feed.

    I used to use it exclusively, but these days I don't really feel it's necessary for me as I've graduated to using Aweber. Aweber includes the same ability to email your subscribers when there's something new in your RSS feed using the "Blog to Broadcast" feature. The benefit of using Aweber over Feedburner is that you can also send one-off emails to that same list and setup Atoresponder email series.
