Q: Review Site Affilite Links

I'm about to create a review site and I am about to register some domain names so that I can mask my affiliate links.

Should I go for a name that is close to the products name as possible?

i.e. product.com - I'd register product.net or pro-duct.com

Or do you think its okay to get whatever name that I am comfortable with?

i.e. product.com - soundsgoodtome.com

I'd appreciate any helpful feedback as I would like to this right on the first try

you're going to buy multiple domain names soley for masking your links? or for your review sites themselves?

I just put a 'recommends' or 'forward' folder on my website, and put php redirects in it.

    an example would be:
    www. mydomain . com / forward / cool-site-1.php <- redirects to cool-site1
    www. mydomain . com / forward / cool-site-2.php <- redirects to cool-site2

Yeah my intention is to cover my clickbank link in the address bar so that people wont mess with it. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but once I've built the site I am going to spend a lot of time linking to it and if my efforts are wasted I think I would get depressed lol

The php redirect option is looking good though, I'll look into a tutorial to do that.

What would be an effective way to keep my affiliate links intact once a person clicks through to the product? Is a php redirect really all that's needed?

BTW - Thanks Jason for the quick response, you've been helping me a lot lately...I'd like to get the site live before midnight as that was the goal I set for myself on Sunday

once they get redirected, your link will no longer appear in the address bar and will be replaced with whichever one your affiliate link eventually lands on. Odds are good that you'll see an aff id tacked onto the end of it.

I'll PM you with a way around this..
