  • Hey there EBR
Yes it does take a while, a few days from what I have experienced. Some things you might want to verify:
*Check to make sure you’re verified. Put the link to the post into Google’s rich snippet testing tool and see how it should display in search engines.

*Make the connection more directly. If you were linking from your Google+ profile to a bio on your site, try linking to the specific posts instead.
Forget rel=me tag and go with rel=author tag
Add "?rel=author" to the end of the destination URL.

I think there will be many people asking about this now that Google sent out a bunch of emails regarding Authorship. You bring up a good point and I think I will address this in our upcoming product release.

PM me if you have any questions.

Hey, I learned about the difference between the 2-way linking and 3-way linking methods of connecting your site with your G+ profile.

In this context, I understand some people suggest to link each post/page via rel="author" to the author page and then one single outbound link from there via rel="me" to the Google Plus profile (where that domain was added under the "Contributor to..." field.

The simple 2-way linking method, as you suggest, would just link each and every post/page vie rel="author" with the G+ profile.

MY QUESTION I have and not been able to receive any reply from anybody so far on industry blogs or FB pages:

Since the 2-way linking method generates as many outbound links (to G+) as there are posts or pages that are comprising the website....would having that many outbound links (same URL!) have any adverse SEO effect?
