secondary list building techniques

Hey warriors!

What's the best list building product you've come across lately?

I'm getting kind of curious about building your subscribers base without using solo ads or SEO (let's just say I have my reasons for this...)

I joined Russel Brunson's dotcomsecretx program, I learned the basics about list building, but the solo ads (and ad swaps) thingy really doesn't appeal to me...

I was thinking there must be some kind of product/post/video or something that focuses on secondary list building techniques, such as leveraging social media, article marketing, forums, etc?

I'd like to really focus on that, and a good product would definitely save me some time browsing around!

Two recommendations, both by Warrior (and moderator extraordinaire) Paul Myers...

Content Cash, for a complete content marketing and syndication system.

BEAST (Best Email Affiliate System ????), for a way to get other people to help build your list without messing with ad swaps and such.

Secondary? I would put solo ads as a secondary list building strategy. Have you tried banner advertising? Facebook advertising? I'm sure there's plenty of free content out there to help you apply these methods effectively.

Create your own report and get other people to give it away via a membership site, aka butterfly marketing.

Also if you start your own personal blog it's a great way to funnel all your social media profiles back to a single homepage where you can make it pretty obvious that you are an email marketer.

Oh, and if you have your own blog you can add it to your signature here so that like minded people can find it and start to form a relationship.

David Risley has a product called "Master Your List" which may help but it's very elementary. It'll be most effective for someone who is new to email marketing and list building

P.S. - I have a free ebook in my signature that'll help you find what you're looking for.

Ewen Chia has a good one called "Opt-in Profits".

Doesn't it depend on what your niche is? For example Youtube would work for just about any niche while Twitter may not fit into another. For me I am starting to rethink Twitter because of the niche I am in.

Interesting, how would you build your subscribers base using Youtube if you're in a make money online niche?

Jason Parker is a list building pro. He has a number of inexpensive list building wso's. He has wso with Paul Counts called Free Traffic Heaven which i think you may find helpful. For paid traffic sources, his latest WSO with Charles Kirkland whose a list building Jedi - Ultimate List Building Secrets 2.0 was a real eye opener for me.

I second the Jason Parker/Charles Kirkland product...

I've been using similar tactics and still learned a ton from ULBS 2.0...

It's about a "secondary" method - but I can't really say what it is w/o giving it away some...

    Cheers,

I would put Solo ads as a secondary source.

My first option would be FB PPC, Or PPV.

I just purchased Jason Parker/Charles Kirkland product On PPV ULBS 2.0

Great info on PPV list building.

Create something simple and cheap - by cheap, I mean free! You'll have a list in no time.

But this really depends on what niche your list is.
