Desperately Need Help With Article Marketing

Warriors, I know you are busy, but I really need some basic help in article marketing.

Let me cut to the chase and tell you what I am doing.

As part of my effort to build more traffic for two sites where I sell technology products and accessories, I am systematically submitting original content to MyEzine Articles.com.

I am linking the article back to my site in an attempt to boost traffic by building quality links and thus improve my standings with Google.

Now My Questions

(1) Can I submit the same article to other article sites without changing it, or must I send each article site original content?

I do not wish to spin any of the articles. I have a problem with that concept, but do not want to debate it. I am willing to write original content ever day, if necessary.

(2) Once I get that answer to this question my next question is which article sites should I submit to and how long will it take before I see an uptick in my sites' traffic?

(3) I'd really appreciate any up-to-date tips or resources on article marketing from experts who are getting good results.

Thank you for your time.

Most(if not all) high PR sites won't accept an article that is published elsewhere. I could be wrong but this is what I have ran into in the past....

Also, look into Hubpages, Squidoo, etc to post articles. These can bring good traffic and the links are not 'nofollow'.

Yes indeed ... very wrong, Jeffrey, I'm afraid.

(And by the way, there's no such thing as a "high PR site": websites don't "have page ranks" - only pages have page ranks, and articles submitted to directories go on PR-0 pages anyway. Ezine Articles having a page rank of PR-6 for its own home page - which it does - doesn't help my articles there at all, because my articles don't get published on its own home page and neither do anyone else's).

Article directories don't require previously unpublished content and there's absolutely no point in giving them any. Why give away all those initial indexation-rights to your content, the gradual accumulation of which carries such benefits to your own site?

There's a very fundamental confusion in this thread, in places, (as in some others) between "article marketing" and "article directory marketing".

There are several factual misstatements above, and quite a bit of "missing the point", too, I'm afraid.

For anyone who'd like to appreciate the differences between "article marketing" and "article directory marketing", and can tolerate a dose of reality rather than some of the inaccuracies above, I strongly recommend this little thread and the various links inside it to much more detailed explanations: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

Thanks, Alexa. I apologize to the others, I should have done a search and got the link you just gave me. Again, much thanks!

Don't worry at all - these things are not always easy to find. You have to know exactly what to put into the search function, and looking through all the threads with the word "article" in the title isn't anyone's idea of fun! :p

Hi Lasterporter, I think I can help you.. below are the answer under your each questions.

    (1) Can I submit the same article to other article sites without changing it, or must I send each article site original content?

I do not wish to spin any of the articles. I have a problem with that concept, but do not want to debate it. I am willing to write original content ever day, if necessary.

For long term purpose and if you want your website to rank long term in Google and other search engine than you have to write 100% unique and quality content and submit one unique content to the top article directories. If you submit same content to all the article directories than you will be affected from Google Panda update and your website will not be ranked on first page.

I am a victim of that I have experience on it. You don't need to submit to all article directories, write unique content and submit unique content to good top article directories but not same or spun article. Google bot is very smarter than we think. So we need to be natural.

    (2) Once I get that answer to this question my next question is which article sites should I submit to and how long will it take before I see an uptick in my sites' traffic?

    1) Street Article: If you article is approved in the street article not only you will get good backlinks but your article will be instantly ranked in the first page of Google for your keyword and most important is that you will get traffic from this article. I highly recommend street article.

    2) Ezine Article

    3) Blogger: Create your own blogspot website and submit unique article over there because blogger belongs to Google and when you submit the article you will get good quality backlink

    (3) I'd really appreciate any up-to-date tips or resources on article marketing from experts who are getting good results.

My suggestion is to be very expert on your topic and focus completly on article marketing for at least 1 month and submitting 2 -3 quality articles everyday related to your topic and write articles for the search users not for search engine. Think in mind search users not search engine when writing articles.

Think in this way "Will my article help the search user", "Can I give 100% effort to help the search user what they are looking for so they can also share the article to other people as well."

I hope you understand my concept and suggestion, yes it is painful but once you give the hard work than this hard word will give you long term and permanent income.

Stay away from other marketing distraction for at least 1 month and focus completely on article marketing

I like what you are saying about blocking out a chunk of time to just devote to article writing. For me at least, it seems that an article is better written if there aren't other things going on.

Does it count against you if you post on article sites but duplicate it on your own blog, or only if its duplicated on another article site?

In my experience traditional article marketing, ie the way you are doing it doesn't work very well any more. Why? Because the value placed on articles from sites like ezinearticles has been severely dropped by google, you rarely see an ezinearticle site at the top of google anymore.

What ezinearticles is good for is article syndication, meaning, website owners find your article and use it on their own website with a link back to your site. That's where the real link juice takes effect and where you'll get traffic from, not from ezine articles itself.

As a part of your article marketing efforts I would try guest posting on high traffic sites, I've had far, far better results from this.

I agree with Darren. Submitting articles to article directories did have its place at one point in time, but its effectiveness is dropping because PLENTY of people submit or have submitted sub-standard articles to these directories. Even Ezine used to accept so-so articles. It was only recently that they became stricter about the articles they publish, and this is probably due to the fact that they were becoming a less credible source of information.

Great information. It sounds one needs to make sure they have high quality unique writing on there own blog and just build it up over time. While posting on other high quality high ranking websites. Doing some article marketing here and there (again using good unique articles) to boost some rankings.

No freebies, you got to work!

    (1) Can I submit the same article to other article sites without changing it, or must I send each article site original content?

That depends on the article directories. Some require original content, some don't. I'd focus on the directories that allow you to post something you've posted elsewhere.

I do not wish to spin any of the articles. I have a problem with that concept, but do not want to debate it. I am willing to write original content ever day, if necessary.

In the long run, this will make you more successful than those who use article spinners.

    (2) ...my next question is which article sites should I submit to and how long will it take before I see an uptick in my sites' traffic?

Submit to any and all that will have you. As for your sites' traffic, that depends on too many factors to answer in this reply.

    (3) I'd really appreciate any up-to-date tips or resources on article marketing from experts who are getting good results.

The main goal for article marketing is syndication. That's why you won't be penalized for having the same article on multiple sites (anyone ever hear of the Associated Press?). Syndication means more links, and I'd rather have one article earn multiple links for me than just the one.

You also want to make sure you are posting your article on your website first. Wait until you're sure the article is indexed on your website before submitting it elsewhere. You're on the right path and doing the right things. Stay focused and you'll be successful.

I'm sure some people still have good results with Ezines but I haven't seen an article with decent views or rankings in quite a long time.

Web 2.0 directories are where it's at now days. I'm sure that'll change in some years to come but as of right now, Google is showing a lot of love to the Web 2.0 directories.

Just as well, then, that the purpose Ezine Articles fulfils for article marketers has nothing to do with the number of views or rankings its articles get.

That isn't article marketing, GW - it's only "article directory marketing", and nobody's maintaining that that works. I submit all my articles to Ezine Articles but I don't want or expect them to get potential customer views or rankings at all. That isn't what article directories are for. It isn't what they were ever for.

This thread will ease your confusion (but - dare I say? - only if you're willing to read it!): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872
