New site, but need some suggestions moving forward

Good day guys, love reading the forum.

I am starting a site which will start of with about 300 visitors per day for the first few months. I will use Adsense and Infolinks for starters.

I am confident of getting around 5000 visitors daily on the site after about 6 months (I have 2 blogs already running which will start to redirect to the site).

Is there a standard of premiums you charge for banner ads to a specific company in the same industry as the website that one charges? I have seen some suggesting $500 main banner add, some say $200.

What is a reasonable fee to charge advertisers when your site gets around 10000 daily visitors, most of them being loyal followers?

Thank you

Thanks for the reply. The website is aimed at international visitors, not country specific, but most will be USA, Europe, Far east and middle east visitors.

You may want to offer a higher regular price and test with special offers to get advertisers on board. If you deliver as promised and things work well for them, you may have found yourself a new source of stellar income!

Thanks for the reply. I have fairly good relations I build up from international trade shows with manufacturers in the industry, so I have a point of contact with the marketing managers. But this is where I have no experience, what to charge for small ad, main page ad etc.

I'd go with different levels of offers. For example text ads at the lower range, header banners at the higher range, and everything in the middle like below content or side bar banners. Think like Wal-Mart, there's a product in their store for almost everyone. Perhaps someone might want to test a text ad on your site if they see some results they may scale up their purchases. Or a company with a hefty budget might want to advertise on your site in that case a banner advertisement @ $250 - $300 appears reasonable. If you collect a list you can also sell solos.

    Hope this helps,

10,000 traffic , just take minimum 10 % of traffic will click on their banner they might get 1 k traffic from your site per day .
You should not charge on fix price because different company might paid you different price due to different market . Some company able to earn big bucks with the 1 k traffic but some are not. So you should quote the price base on how they company need your visitors.
$500 might is still reasonable if is leader board or big banner on the high visit page.
