irrelevant - My bills come to around $2k so $500 would still mean I need a 'proper' job that covers the rest.

I already make a lot more than $500 a month online. An extra $500 would just about cover the fuel for my car.

So lets say you do have a regular job what should you do to earn an extra $500 doing IM as part time

I'd probably man up and tell people I don't know how to make money online an have a goal of $500 a month instead of using hypotheticals. Or use the search function and get to work on a method

That's what i was trying to get at.
He uses all these elaborate back-stories to ask questions instead of just saying

I do earn money online and i haven't been doing this for long, the income is not steady enough for me to quit my day job, but i am trying, if it would make these negative threads stop, let's rephrase the question "What are some of the methods of making recurring $500 month payday in a period of six weeks?" this is an informative forum not a dispute one so if you don't have any thing to contribute don't post.

You got negative answers because a) you asked a silly question and b) you couldn't be bothered to ask it in a sensible way.

Not a good start really, was it.

Why is it a stupid question? Because this is an internet marketing forum. It's full of ways to earn money. Why do you think some methods WOULDN'T earn you $500 a month?

I am going to ignore the rest of your post and answer this one relevant question. I think most methods done right can bring you money, the problem is never sticking with it to the end.

Start a blog. Build an email list.

Offer products after a month = Month 1 people buy.

Offer a product after 2 months = Month 1 + 2 people buy.

Offer a product after 3 months = Month 1 + 2 + 3 people buy.

Eventually it will build up to an income, but will take time.

Why is it that people always have such negative comments, does it really matter if you ask a question using hypothetical or not long as you perceive the end message.

That is negative for you? I mean this in the nicest way possible: if your skin is that thin, and you don't have the skills/cojones to ask your questions correctly, then business probably isn't for you.

Don't feel bad: very few people actually end up being cut out for entrepreneurial pursuits.

This is what I would do and it will be very cheap. You'll just need a domain name, hosting and an autoresponder.

Start a blog in something you're passionate about, but people will also spend money in. Write out a nice freebie + 2 dozen follow-up messages.

Start adding one article to your site per week, making sure it's great content. Spend X amount of hours promoting the site.

This site is an investment for your future. Just one post per week and some promotion will do. Obviously more is better.

Now spend the rest of your time trying to throw sh*t at walls and seeing what sticks. Or maybe you want to do some freelancing. Possibly even a job.

But as long as you write good content and have chosen the right niche your INVESTMENT SITE will continue to build a readership.

Slowly start playing around with making offers and seeing what works. Add more to the follow-up messages etc.

Spend as much time as you want on the investment site, but a minimum of one great article per week.

You can do whatever you want with the rest of your time, whether that involves chasing dreams or not.

Get rich quick, you could hammer out five articles a day at five dollars each, Monday through Friday. That would come to exactly $500 a month. Not too difficult either.

The good news is that internet marketing profits, such as affiliate marketing is a process that builds up over weeks and months, with daily diligence to get to those goals. I know, boring, but liberating!

Promote a hot affiliate program that offer's 50% of a $997 package (like a travel package). That's $500 a month right there if you market everyday.
