I would like to ask all of you that are building niche sites, how do you manage emails from all the different sites. I currently have 10 sites and am currently working on more and it feels like a full time job just managing emails. I am looking for a way to receive and read emails from all of my sites all through a single account.

Thanks

  • Different email addresses for each of our sites email @ product name .com seemed like a good idea for us at one point in time, until the spam started rolling in for 100+ sites, thus we quickly switched to just one main address for all our products.

Many merchants also use a ticketing system which redirects all related inquiries from all sites to one address, by allowing the customer to use a drop down box and choosing which product they are inquiring about.

Just forward all the emails from the different accounts to one main email account

Forward all of your emails from your email accounts to your single 1 email account. If confused on how to do this, called your web hosting provider and ask them how to do this.

I also forward my email accounts to my main email account. Then if I want to reply, I go to the correct email and send from there.

One trick I use is specific to Pegasus Mail, although it may be available in other MUAs.

I have a number of addresses forwarded to a single main account. The mail to each address is filtered automatically into a separate folder. I have rules for each folder, which set the From: field on replies to the one the original was sent to.

That allows me to control the spam filtering on my end. I use Spamhaus's Zen list to reject most spam at the connection. Of the smallish fraction that gets through, the majority is caught by the Bayesian filters in Pegasus.

Handy solution. I still don't have all my mail sent to that account, but this cuts processing time a lot.
