I was thinking the other day that I really need some guidance in taking my online business to a new level.

I have various projects, some of which are reasonably successful, and some that are not. But I really want to get to a point where I am making some regular residual income. My aim is to make £500 per month - regularly.

So, I see everyone else asking for a mentor and I thought I would approach it in a slightly different way. A mentor can't really help you develop your product, that has to come from you. A mentor can advise which niches to try, but again, that should be something that you're interested in.

So it got me thinking - if I had a mentor, what aspects of my business would I need help with? And the answer was - traffic generation.

Traffic generation comes in many forms - social bookmarking, directories, blogging, microblogging etc. But I don't really know how to put it all together in the correct way. And I don't know which directories to post to, and I'm not sure whether Squidoo would be part of the main traffic generation, or just a little side blog for the sake of it.

So, with that in mind, I would like to offer my time to anyone who does knnow about these techniques. This would preferably be someone who is just getting a new project off the ground, so I can follow the whole process.

I will happily be your apprentice and submit URLs to directories, social bookmark, etc. etc. Call it the "donkey work". I just want to see how the whole thing fits together and follow the traffic results in the process.

If anyone is interested, please PM me so we can discuss. I ask nothing more than for you to tell me what you need doing, and I will do it.

Roger, have you seen Tony Shepherd's free eBook "Blog your wage"? It has an entire chapter (the third) dedicated to traffic generation. It might not answer your exact questions, but as it won't cost anything, I thought that you might want to take a look anyway...

    Roger,

You already have a copy of Blog Traffic Secrets and
the vast majority of the traffic strategies outlined in
there will apply just as much to a standard website
as they do to a blog.

As already discussed by PM, I'd be happy to provide
    you with some "coaching".
